5 nts. on Wonder vs. 4 nts. on Magic?

We have just come off our first DCL cruise - the 3 nt. Bahamas cruise on the Dream. Needless to say, we are all anxious to go on our next cruise
DH insists he doesn't want to go on a smaller ship, but the Fantasy is not in the budget (unless we want to wait 2 years instead of 1.....which we don't), and I want to try a different ship (as well as a different itinerary), so that basically left the Wonder caribbean itinerary. Now with the news about the Magic refurb, I don't know what to do.
Will we be disappointed in the Wonder after being on the Dream (and compared to the Magic refurbs? My kids will love the slides....). I'm leaning towards the Magic for the ship but the Wonder for the itinerary (and the extra night!) HELP!!!!

Personally, I'd go for the Wonder first. That way you will have experienced what the classic ships "used to be like" before she has her dry dock (probably in 2014). I imagine her dry dock will make the many changes that the Magic will be undergoing this year.

And, my opinion, longer is better when cruising, so 5 nights beats 4 nights.

Ugh, I agree with longer = better, I just wonder if the kids will be disappointed in the pool/slide area (compared to the Dream) and if DH will be disappointed in the overall ship. Is the Wonder as elegant and nice as the Dream?

I say nicer. I love the Fantasy, but didn't care for the Dream at all. The pool slide area is definitely different, that's for sure, so that may be true for your family. However, the way the Goofy pool and hot tubs are set up seems to work better than the cluster on the new ships.

Just my opinion.

Hmm. I liked the Dream, but thats the only DCL I have to compare it too. Fantasy must really be something..

now I'm leaning towards the Magic just because the 5 nt. has 2 sea days.....2 out of 4 days is a little much for me to be stuck on the ship....I feel trapped just thinking about it, lol

We enjoy the sea days. Nice to just relax and participate in the onboard activities. No hurries getting off the ship and making sure you are back onboard on time like you do on port days. We have 4 sea days on our upcoming cruise and are looking forward to them!
