Total personal choice, but the savings wasn't worth the extra (no matter how minor) trouble.
We went to Disney and hopped 4 times and went to parks after debarkation. Got thru customs and a shuttle was already there and we walked right on it. three min later we were at out car .we never even waited for a shuttle. I know the porters you are referring to and they all want extra tips. Not that our shuttle people don't. But at least we didn't pay double and have to tip above that.

Still not seeing how paying less than half and being at our car in less than 5 min and on our way to Disney with all that savings isn't worth it.

Thanks . It wasn't for us. You might have had great fortune to be off ship when shuttle was available. We saw a long line of people waiting.

Again, personal choice. Ours has always been to park at the port. We like to eliminate the middle man. It's great that you like your choice.

No safety issues I remember being reported on this board, quite the contrary.

Terminal (Port Canaveral) parking is fantastically convenient, covered, fast, right there when you get off the boat so you can go to your car immediately, plentiful, well lighted, safe, and EXPENSIVE.

Off port parking (we've used the popular one) is relatively inconvenient, open air, safe, very friendly, and about half the price of the port. When you get off the ship experiences vary in standing there at curbside waiting for the shuttle vehicle. We've had to wait up to half an hour while watching everyone in terminal parking load up and take off right away. But we had "saved" about $60 in parking fees over what they paid.

A great example of you get what you pay for, though with the terminal parking the prices are unreasonable. Just like DCL, though, they get plenty of people to pay more for the quality of the parking experience. $15 a day? Really?
