We are flying from Grand Rapids Mi. Check out Delta's site... It is still $180 tonight. Maybe yours will be on sale too because usually GR is a pretty expensive airport!

I share your craze and I pack color-coordinated clothes for the family each day. My husband is laid-back and our 2 boys (10 and 8) don't care. So the fun of dressing for dinner is kinda irrelevant. (They don't care for Downton Abbey either - go figure!)

We just came off our 1st trip on the Wonder. It was our first time for Palo's Brunch and we cannot wait to book again. We also had Palo's dinner. The food was amazing, as was the service.

For any newbies out there, I highly recommend you allow 2 days between Palo's reservations. And wear all your skinny stuff before those dining experiences.

Anyone have comments on Remy's? Is it a must-do?

Also, does anyone recommend getting the wine package? Can the pre-purchase wine package be utilized at Palo's or Remy's also?
I did the brunch at Palo and it was AMAZING! I only went because my assistant server from the MDR had moved to Remy and I wanted to see her again. She was actually not working the day I went so I had a different server. Her parents were on our sailing and they were having brunch together at Palo.

I went into Palo all excited but I just wasn't impressed. It was OK. I feel like I was so hyped on it because of what I'd read so I was disappointed. I plan on trying both brunches this time (or maybe indulging for the full Remy experience rather than just the brunch one). But as someone who normally isn't into that type of thing, it is worth going in my opinion. If anyone wants to go together, let me know. I doubt I'll be able to drag the hubby there (which was one reason I indulged so much last trip - he stayed home).

We have considered other vacations recently and we could travel to exotic locations, stay in nice hotels, and eat good food, but almost nowhere else would we get the quality and variety of entertainment that DCL serves up every night. So for the foreseeable future, we will remain addicted to cruising with Disney.
You summed it up beautifully, we too are addicts, and will be cruising right along with you !!

What is your favorite thing to do onboard the Disney Cruise Ships and if you haven't sailed...what are u most looking forward to?? Also any questions from first timers to past cruisers as well!!!
Must I only choose one favorite thing ?!?
Tops for me are:
Breakfast on my verandah (my husband brings it from the buffet for us at least once or twice during the vacation)
Pub trivia game time with Graham (said husband)
Dinners with the family listening to the daily stories
This one certain hammock area on Castaway Cay. i like the location and get up early to get off the ship early to get it
Reading the navigator at night for the first time and planning the following day's activites.

How much is the brunch at Remy? I do want to do the brunch at Palo because I went for dinner and thought it was really good! Are you doing both or just Remy's?

I also agree with many of your posts about the Food - of course the warm cookies and milk! No Cell Phones!!
But we do hit the pool area first - Kids cannot wait (and us adults too!)

I am hoping to do one at each since we'll have enough at sea days to experience both. I haven't done the one at Palo's before and I've heard good things.

Remy's brunch is $50 and comes with a glass of champagne. It is a fixed menu so you don't really get any choices. Although I am not normally a fish person and there is a sea bass course. They offered to get me something else both beforehand (because I mentioned it) and after because I barely touched it. It was good but I just couldn't get past the idea that I was eating fish. You can add a champagne tasting with the brunch for an additional $25 (which I did and really enjoyed although I am not normally a champagne person). They say the champagne is really a good deal. And with the amount they gave me, I'd agree.

WOW! $50.00...that's quite a mouthful! I don't think I will do Remy's because I like the option of choosing different things I would like to try for brunch. I think it would be fun to have a bunch of us do brunch together, so I am game to do the Palo brunch. But how would we manage that when some of us are Silver and some are Gold when it comes to the booking? Are you Gold Lianne?

Too many favorite things for us but here are the top items: (1) Palos brunch and dinner - definitely some of the best food I've had on or off board anywhere! (2) No cell phones - disconnect and enjoy life about the ship (3) relaxing with a specialty coffee drink at Cove Cafe (4) great experiences with the kids that we will discuss for a lifetime - shows, pools, ports, excursions, dining.

Nope I am silver. This is gonna be my third sailing on DCL.

I'm not sure how we'd arrange a group dining outside of us all selecting the same time. I suppose we could contact Disney and ask about how to book a group reservation for it but I figure we have a while until we can start booking the on board activities so no need to worry about it now. Last time I was the only adult in my party so I knew if I met up with someone for a meal, I wouldn't have to do anything to my existing reservation because I was holding the table anyways. But I never did, I just took the time to relax and dine alone.
