Hi there Cass

I am so excited to see you have got your plans finalised for your trip. Now you will have more time to save and you will be able to concentrate on your dancing without having to worry about it affecting your trip.

You are going to be your brothers best friend forever! What a wonderful thing to do and to make it a surprise will make it even more special. You are a lovely sister

I will be looking forward to hearing all about the parks in April/May as I have wanted to visit at those times but just never got around to it!

Can't wait to hear more plans

Apr/May is a nice time in California too.

Just once question....is that THIS year (If so, OMG that's in 3 weeks!!!); or next????

I have a few idea's of how im going to break the news. More on that in a later post I think I absoultely loved our trip in April/May which has made me choose similar dates again this time. Low crowds, comfortable weather. All and all a great trip! Ahh no, I wish it was this year April/May 2014 is when we will be travelling. Thank's for coming along for the ride!!

Me too! it's a huge relief having date's set in stone now. We are still unsure if Alicia will be coming, but she will do her very best! I'm really looking forward to bringing Kyle with me! We didn't get along so well when we were little but now that we have both grown up we get along really well and actually have quite a few things in common! I'm excited to share some special memories with him

The parks in April/May are amazing! Super low crowds which makes for comfortable touring! And the weathers a nice temperature too...at least it was for us last time!

Just a quick question before I pop off to work...How much spending money do you think a 17 year old boy would need? We have a separate budget for food so wont need to worry about that. Just his own money for buying souvenirs. Keeping in mind that I'm a spender and will be buying a lot of things, I don't want him to feel left out or like he has to ask for money all the time. I'm planning on getting him a separate travelex card with his money loaded on that he will be in charge of. Just need to know how much I should be saving. Hmmmmm

How long is a piece of string? It just depends on how much of a shopper he is and what he might buy. There is lots of merchandise....and then there is proper shopping!

Pick a number...any number on a per day basis....$25, $30, $50....

Well today is the first official pay in my savings countdown to Disneyland. So far so good with all money where it needs to be I have decided to save cash to put towards spending money for Kyle and Myself, and stopped at the bank the other day to get some of the large note banking bags. I then decorated and printed out some labels to differentiate who's bag was who's and have now got myself some pretty cute little cash bags. Will post photo's tonight. Both bags will be safely locked away our of prying eyes

Sorry for the late post! Here are the pictures of the money bags that I made. Pretty simple but still cooler than just a plain bag. I will be using banking bags like these to keep or money separate during our trip. I will most likely have a bag for each: Food, Friends and Family Souvenirs, Transport and each a Personal Spending Money Bag. It might seem a little OTT, but I get really into my budgeting and like to know that I am sticking to my budget while on trips. I am also going to keep all of our receipts in the corresponding bag so that when we get home I can see how much we actually spent and weather or not we kept to budget.

I think I have decided to put all of Kyle's money on a Travelex card. That way he can be in charge of what he spends. I will get him out a small amount of cash before we go for spending at the airport and the convenience store next to our hotel (if he wants lollies or something) I think I will keep a hold of his food money though, I have budgeted in $10 a day for treats (Mickey ice-creams, Tigger tails, cupcakes etc) so will maybe give him his portion of that in cash each day of our trip!
