Just booked seats in the bubble

Super excited ...... Just booked 7 EC seats in upstairs cabin, could have had the choice of the plane! Realise there's no guarantee we'll be sitting there but seems a little more real now there's a purple dot on the seat plan with my name on it

Oooh exciting!!are you at 90 days out today??
I booked the bubble, for the way out but as I've never sat there before chickened out and booked down stairs beside the galley can't remember the exact number but either 26 or 29... Is the bubble better than down stairs in your opinion?? (And again when I say booked I mean the little seat is purple no guarantees of course lol)

Yep 90 days today ........ Seat map came live just after 8 am. Have sat upstairs when it was all PE, great cabin soooo quiet which probably makes it more likely seats will get changed. Either way not to worry were going to Florida and can always grab some sitting together when the rest of the plane comes free at OLCI

WE loved being in the bubble in December. Nice and quiet and never a long line for the toilet.
And the best bit is being one of the first off the plane! Last December we were off, through immigration, did the double bag drop and were waiting for our pick up after just an hour of landing!

I know exactly which seats I'm going to try and get for next year

Which Virgin flight uses this type plane? We fly out on the 13.45 flight. I'd love to get seats in the bubble

I've always wanted to sit in the bubble -hooray for you!

I have a non-disney Virgin question. I just booked Virgin for a trip to London this summer and my 90 days is coming up (I had actually never heard of an airline waiting until a certain time out to select seats - very Disney like lol). But I see a PP said the selection is not guaranteed? Do they change you around often? Seat selection is important to me, so I'd hate to be moved!

We're on the 13:45pm flight from Manchester on 16/8 and it's the 747-400. On the way back we fly at 19:00 and it's the Airbus 333. Not sure if this helps you or not to know about the bubble?!

Depends where you're flying from LGW are all refurbed 747's (I think) but Manchester use both 747s and also A330's or something similarly named :0)

The seat booking with Virgin is just a request however most times they do not change and it is recommended you complete online check in as soon as it opens to keep your seats.

They do sometimes move you but this is mainly on full flights and it is to keep as many groups together as possible.

I assume you are flying either JFK or Newark to Heathrow - in which case you are much more likely to keep your chosen seats as it gets less large groups and families than Orlando.

We have sat in the bubble 4 times in PE. Last year when we came home the configuration was half PE half economy. If in economy I would definitely choose to sit there, much more relaxed and quieter.

I'll miss it this year as going indirect on Delta for first time. Have upgraded so will see how the 2 compare.

Thank you for your replies! After seeing this thread I double checked my dates and today is my 90 day! I'm grateful to the OP for triggering my memory. I was surprised to see so many seats taken already. I chose 42 A and C so I'm hoping they stay as is. I like have the window and aisle next to each other.

And yes, we are going JFK-LHR

Bubble seats are 75 to 80 I think
