What do you wear on a sea day?

Do most people spend the day in a bathing suit and cover up, or shorts and TShirt.

I just started packing and had everything picked out for arrival, departure and dinner, but daytime never occurred to me

It's just a 4 night Dream cruise, so I don't want to overpack.

Thanks!

We pretty much were in our suits and cover ups. Packed way too much.

It really depends on what you are planning on doing. We wore our suits/cover-ups to breakfast and then hit the pools right afterwards. When we were done swimming and sunning (and it started getting crowded) we went back to our room and changed into shorts and t-shirts. We loved seeing the movies and going to the different classes and activities and would not have been comfortable in our bathing suit all day.

I am a guy, so your mileage may vary.
On sea days, I will wear mesh tee shirt to / from the pool with my swimsuit.
The rest of the time I wear the Polo shirt I wore to dinner last night (and shorts). This way I don't have to totally double up "tops" I have to bring with me. So for me, my "clothing day" goes from Dinner LAST NIGHT to getting ready for dinner TONIGHT. Formal / Semi Formal nights throw a kink into this, since I will NOT wear a dress shirt during the day onboard the ship (unless I am going to Palo brunch)

I wore mostly capri pants/shorts and t-shirts/tank tops on sea days. Some of the theaters on board can get kind of chilly, so I had my Disney hoodie just in case. We were watching Oz in the movie theater and I was freezing

It depended on what we were doing that day. We had days we were hanging out at Satellite Falls in bathing suits, then I just put on my cover-up and went to tastings or the spa as is. Other days we had more stuff planned and wore capris all day. I did bring clothes for every afternoon and evening so I had extras that I really didn't need.

Wear what you would wear on a resort vacation.

It depends on how you are spending your day. I wore a swimsuit with cover up to cabanas for breakfast and then we went to the pool and aquaduck. Once it gets to hot or crowded for that, I change into shorts/capris/skirt and top for playing golf, watching movies, tastings, midship detective agency, etc. We only wear our swimsuits while we are at the pool/aquaduck. If you do not plan to spend the entire day on the pool deck then I would plan on other options for wearing around the ship.

This is a great way to think of things - I need to incorporate that into the packing list for the boys!

I don't like to wear sneakers with Capris, so I usually wear shorts into the ports, so I save my Capri's for sea days when I can wear sandals with them We aren't pool / sitting in the sun people, and as others have mentioned, inside can be a bit cool. We will sit on the verandah or on Deck 4 but generally not in the open sun for any period of time.

I like sundresses. I can wear either my swim suit underneath if I'm going swimming or regular underthings if I'm not.

I also find they pack well (watch your fabrics) and can even be worn to dinner (though I'll usually toss on a light sweater or jacket because of the air conditioning)

We are not sit by the pool people, so we mostly wore shorts/capris and t's during the day.

Bathing suit and cover up, mostly. Occassionally need shorts and t-shirt for any indoor activities. For the whole 7-night cruise, I never pack more than 4 pairs of shorts.

I'm.actually more comfortable in a dress or skirt most of the time, so I wore a lot of maxi dresses and skirts or skorts with a nice but comfortable shirt. I'm probably not in the norm though as pants and shorts are the exception rather than the rule for me. I even prefer to run in a running skirt. I preferred maxi dresses or skirts on board because they were less likely to be effected by the wind.
