Question WDW Post Cruise ?

We are thinking about spending one day post cruise at WDW since we don't fly home until Sunday, what I want to know is

what time is the earliest bus we can get to WDW and realistically how long will it be before we actually GET to the park? The plan is to take an early bus, check @ hotel (assuming our room won't be ready) and then bus over to MK for the day.

I was always told that I could be to WDW as early as 9 or 10, so that was what I planned on. However, the weather had different plans. We were not able to get to the park until mid afternoon because the ship came in late.

Was it a rare occurrence? I think so; but I would be willing to be flexible and manage expectations.

The buses don't leave to WDW till they are full and that can take a while. If that's the case you'll be at the hotel around 10:30 11. However it you are a group of 4 or 5 and get out of the the ship early you could catch a van and get to the hotel at 9:45ish about an 1 or so earlier. Based on that you'll most likely get to Mk by 1 o'clock,

I absolutely hate the Magial Express to the resorts; it's neither magical nor express! But I'm also not one to try to be at the park ASAP; getting there by lunchtime is plenty time for me.

Thanks. We took DCL transfers to the airport last year and loved it, no waiting for a pickup, it was a quick ride, just wanted to make a plan for lunch - we'll eat at the park.

We are also planning to catch the magical express to WDW after our cruise. We will be staying at the GF but have a lunch ADR at Santa at 1.15pm. Do they have different buses to different resorts? P

From the airport the buses will generally leave as they fill and one bus may go to several resorts. We used it in October and Art of Animation was our resort and it stopped there first, which was fine, but we just sat at the airport longer than I wanted to with a tired, cranky 4 year old! Coming back, we checked out super early and it was close to full when it got to us and also stopped at one more resort on the way to the airport.
