Any plans to change the Dream...

...like adding a Satellite falls or the Aqua Lab....like the Fantasy...

Just wondering?

Nothing has been announced. Remodeling would have to be done during a drydock, and right now DCL is concentrating on the major dry docks for the Magic this fall, then the Wonder next fall.

I have been wondering the same thing. We are sailing on the Dream in May of 14, and the aqua lab would be awesome. But I'm just happy were going !

Thanks for your responses. I just felt that with 4k plus guests the Dream lacked enough water play places, especially on sea days.. The new editions on the Fantasy look really nice.

There's rules every ship must follow regarding drydocks. Basically they have to go in 2x in a 5 year period not to exceed 3 years. This is to satisfy certain inspection criteria. There's an exception but I don't know if DCL will take the exception. If they don't the Dream has to go in to drydock no later then Jan 2014. I haven't looked to see if there's any gaps coming up for the Dream but putting 2 ships into drydock in 1 year is nothing for a cruise line. RCL and Princess do it all the time.

As for if they'll add anymore water features only time will tell. I do agree its a major mistake on the size of the pools on the new ships.

Those are two things that were mentioned as possibly on the to do list at dry dock by a long-time CM on the Fantasy a couple weeks ago. They did say that the area had forward had now been made adults only on the Dream from what he understood but there was no shade yet like on the Fantasy. They have heard the most positive comments about the satellite falls area from guests so far.

o.k. You got me curious. I don't see any gaps in the Dream schedule. What would qualify as an "exception", and if they don't do a drydock by next January, do they have til January 2016?
