Same!!! We have also avoided it for years and ate lunch there this past 2/24 after my dh ran the Princess. We LOVED it! The food was tasty and fresh and our server was attentive and nice. The show was fun and we had a really great time. Must do from now on!

We were pleasantly surprised by Mama Melrose as well. Granted we only ate a light lunch of caesar salad and the salami plate but it was super fresh and yummy.

We went there within the first 2 weeks of its opening and the service and food were just . . . not good. (In retrospect, they were still in the "learning curve".)

Fast forward a couple of years.

I kept reading positive reviews and decided to give it another chance. So glad I did! We had great service and delicious food.

San Angel Inn a few years back. It had been getting really bad reviews. I nearly cancelled a few times, but DH and DS wanted to eat there.
I was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best meals of our trip. I would gladly go back again.

Boatwrights! We were too tired to leave the resort for an ADR, so we just ate there. Wasn't expecting much, but the food was fantastic. One of our best meals of the week!

These are great! A lot of places people have mentioned are ones that I wouldn't really have considered.

For us it was the Captains Grille. A few years ago when we stayed the end of January we were just so tired on our arrival day we just wanted to hang around the resort. We cancelled our ADR and ended up getting a walk in at the Captains Grille. Loved the food and service. We have been there now three times and have not been disappointed.

LTT was a Suprise for me.. I never wanted to eat here but needed one last ADR in MK I liked the lunch menu better & was supposed at how good the freedoms pasta & ooey gooey cake was!

Nine Dragons was also a Suprise wasn't looking fwd to it b/c here at home Chinese restaurants are everywhere but I had the best general Tso chicken ever!

1900 PF breakfast was a Suprise but I think that was due to the amazing lobster eggs Benedict!

San Angel Inn. Almost all of the reviews I had read were horrible but it ended up being the best meal I ever had at WDW!

Hollywood & Vine for lunch - from the reviews it receives, I was expecting a dirty, gross mess but we kept the reservation and we really enjoyed it! We were surprised! We have returned 3 times.

Rose & Crown - beautiful atmosphere, great iced tea, good comfort food.

We like comfort food on vacation, you just can't eat exotic at every meal on vacation you will end up with a sick tummy!

The new-version Nine Dragons. We took a chance having heard the bad reviews from before they renovated it. Now it's all my fiance talks about!
