Advice needed on cancellation policy

I really could use some expect advice. I booked a cruise awhile back in concierge level for an October cruise. Worried about my children missing too much school, I changed the reservation to August and to non concierge veranda room. Now some really unexpected expenses have come up and I may need to postpone the cruise until next summer. I believe I can still change the date to a future date which would be ok, but if I needed to cancel would I still be able to cancel without penalty or would I be under the original cancelation charge that applies to concierge guest since I originally booked it? I would defiantly understand if I was, just trying to figure out all my options. If anyone has any experience with this one I would appreciate the advice. Thanks!

I believe that once a reservation is concierge it keeps the cancellation policy even if you change the room to a different category.

Thanks! It would make sense that it would follow the same policy once it is changed or everyone would be changing just to avoid it! I just wanted to make sure so I can weigh all my options, but really I would rather postpone it than cancel it anyway! It is always nice to have a cruise in the future to look forward to!
