Gifts for crew

I want to leave a little care package for our host. Need ideas!! What things could they use? What don't they like? Need more ideas than candy or snacks. Thanks!

I remember a thread about this a few weeks ago where someone mentioned laundry supplies. I thought that was a great idea since they have to do their own laundry. Maybe the Tide Pods or 3 in 1 Purex sheets?

Do they have to pay for detergent? This is for a past stateroom host, so I don't think I want to give cash as they won't be our host this cruise. Wanted more care package type ideas. Like the detergent idea though!

They must pay for and do their own personal laundry. Their work costumes are laundered by DCL. I don't know that buying laundry soap is such a great gift. What if they can't use that particular brand?

The space each CM has in their room (shared) is actually quite small. They pretty much have pared down what they can keep there. How would you know what items need to be replaced?

I agree that cash would be the best.

I'd take whatever that package would cost in cash and stick it in their tip envelope.

Candy and snacks (sealed by the manufacturer - homemade and open items aren't allowed) is usually the go-to because the cast members don't have problems keeping these in their small cabins, and they can share them if they want to. I wouldn't give them keepsakes.

Some say they like to give phone cards. I'll let those who give the crew members gifts (I don't) expand on why that might be something they could use. To call home I guess, but wouldn't some have cell phones now?

When husband worked on Majesty of the seas. The rooms were small think smaller than regular inside cabin for 2. Most crew especially the hosts and wait staff pay to have laundry done due to time constraints and availability. The females like the fashion mags, people type of magazines. Candy, chips, some do the ITunes. Photo cards, Shampoo conditioner body wash. Females love the BBW. Sunscreen. Chapsticks.
