It for pedestrian (and horse) traffic only. It's about 1 mile long and goes from one end of CW to other...ending at the Capital. There area lots of shops/houses/exhibits to stop in along the way. Lots of folks dressed in Colonial garb. (They even have childrens Colonial costumes rentals for Claire). There are horse/carriage rides but those tickets are first come-first served and go pretty quick first thing in the morning. And like the CW website says, you can do it in 1, 2, 3 or more days depending on what all you want to see. I would say 1 full day would be plenty of time to see it all but if you're a history buff then you can easily stretch that out into another day.

Parking? Park for free all day at the main Visitor Center and take the shuttles back and forth or park in one of the CW parking lots free for 2 hours or use either our paid parking lot or the parking garage...both $1 an hour. OR let me know when you're in town and we'll work something out.

And like mentioned before, don't miss lunch at The Cheese Shop. Their house dressing for the sandwiches are the BOMB! You can even buy little tubs of it along with bread ends and make a meal out of just that! Oh it's so good! Oh and their tuna salad has grapes and nuts! YUM! (I'm all about food - can you tell!?)

Busch Gardens is great. We're pass holders and there every weekend! Don't miss the pizza buffet in Italy! And there's a fun show in the Fest Haus several times a day. The rides aren't to shabby either.

(We could probably hook yall up with some discount tickets to CW and BG if you haven't purchased them already)

I could go on and on...
Thanks for that info. I'll take time tomorrow and look it over. (at least I hope to, the days are just flying by)

We have the Bush Garden tickets. I was able to get 2 for free with my job and we just bought the other 2 online.
But if you have any connections for CW ones, I am all for it.

I am so excited and nervous to see and experience new things. Are you on facebook? If so we need to friend each other!

Thanks. of course it does not surprise me that you know her name. I love seeing the empty ship too.

Wish we had more time to talk, but there's just SO much to do. I did think it was funny looking up from the veranda on Castaway Cay day (I think) and seeing you up above. It just never sank in while messing around with the FE List that your stateroom was right above ours.

Loving the trip report.
Well of course you are famous! it was nice to say hi and then to see you right under us on CC day was so neat. My Dad was in the room/verandah next to me and he kept saying "who is that?" He was amazed how I just talk to random strangers. LOL I think my whole family thought I was slightly weird meeting up with people I met online.

Williamsburg looks like a lot of fun! Can't wait to hear about your trip! Can you do a TR for that here?? MAybe you should start a blog!! I wanna hear about it!
I really wish we did get a picture of her in it.

I do have a blog, but I am always behind at posting on it. I think I only have the first 2 days of this trip on it. I need to get it caught back up. I plan to give the links to family to read it, but I haven't caught up enough to even do so.
I might do a TR. I have someone on another board who has asked me to do one a couple of times now. They want to see my newbie experience. If i do do one, it won't be till after I finish this one up. It's just too hard to write 2 at the same time. I am not sure if there is a spot here to post it. I know other boards have a "other destinations" trip report board, but Dis really doesn't. Maybe I'll just add it to the end of this one.

It is very different. And from the pictures I have seen of the Fantasy, it's very different there too, even different than the Dream.

Sorry you had to deal with Creepy Guy

Wow that was a massive meet and greet. I would love seeing all the characters out like that. That's great Abby was so into the princess's and characters.

Way to go Claire for being brave and doing karaoke. I would not have been that brave.

What a cool dress Daisy had on.

Why do they have to close the shops when you are in port?

We went to Williamsburg a couple years ago. I can't tell you about the town because we only did 2 days at Bush Gardens and 1 day at Water Country. We loved both places. They were so clean and nice. River asks to go back all the time. I wish we live closer

Creepy guy was CREEPY.

That was an awesome character meet and I am glad at least Abby got to see it and meet them.
The shops can only be open while at sea because they are duty free.

I am excited to go. 2 weeks from tdoay we will be flying out. It's not a direct flight, so it will be a long day. This will actually be Claire's first non direct flight.
I'm glad to hear you like Bush Gardens.

Happy Easter everyone, and you Aunt Bop Bop!

I was so behind again. I'm so upset still that work internet blocks the pics. I loved spending lunch hours catching up!

The flamingo story is hilarious! I loved Abby's expression. You could tell that she had a full day and was tuckered out though at dinner! Did you have early or late seating?

LOL about the Nassau stalker! You must've been one hot mama that day!

I'm so glad DS is now able to go all day without a nap or anything. We just have to keep him fed regular.

PS - for us Target is the popcorn store. Cause everytime when DS was little, we'd get the $1 popcorn and soda combo as a snack.

I have heard from others now that I am using flickr they can't see my pictures at work. But photobucket is such a mess. Just trying to find the ones I loaded up before is awful. They mixed them all up now. So frustrating.

I just love those character shots on the Dream in front of that light fixture. That might just be enough to get me to go ahead and try a cruise one day!

The girls look adorable on their way to dinner dressed as the Queen and Mad Hatter.

Katie would have had the same experience with the honeydew boat. She totally would have ordered it for the strawberries..... and totally been disappointed they barely showed up on the plate!

Wow! Claire is getting to be quite independent! Did you feel like you had been stood up on a date or something? I love that you ran into Mickey roaming the ship though. I had to show that one to Katie. She wants to know how the ship was being steered with him out roaming the deck though.

YEAH Claire for trying karoake! Don't you just love it when they surprise us and do something brave?

OK, I'm all caught back up again. And if that happens, it means YOU are way behind!
