Magic cabin 5500

Was assigned cabin 5500 on Magic and while checking stateroom reports noticed the most recent was from 2009 and it wasn't good. Just wondering if anyone has sailed in this cabin recently and how it was?
TIA

You are in a quiet spot. The very end of the hall. You should enjoy your room very much!

We were in 5512, right down the hall, last April and loved it. It was very quiet, but convenient to the Atrium. I would think 5500 would be the same.

We loved the sideways room, we didn't feel cramped at all. We stayed in room 5511 and would book the room again in a heartbeat.

We are veranda folks but sooo wanted to take a cruise over Christmas week. The only way we could afford it was to book inside. We were also in a sideways. We loved it so much we booked the exact same cabin for Christmas week 2013.

Loved

this room. It is quiet since it is at the end of the hallway. If you have children in the kids programs, it was very convenient for picking up and dropping off. We always try to book this room or 5000 when on the Magic.

What exactly is a sideways room? Will 5504 be sideways too?

April 26th is when we sail. If you look at a deck plan, the sideways rooms are located across the hall from where ours are. They are inside staterooms (5501, 5505, 5509, and 5513).
