Courtyard Marriott - Walking?

Hi there,

I'm hoping for some advice about walking from the Courtyard Marriott. I'm taking my DD to Disneyland as a surprise for her 6th birthday. We will have 2 days in the parks. We will be flying in Saturday evening, and I was able to get a 7:10 breakfast at the Plaza Inn on Sunday her actual birthday. She is going to flip out. I understand that the shuttles wouldn't get us there in time. It looks like it isn't that far to walk down Harbor, but according to the maps it is suggested that we take a shuttle. Is it an easy walk? Should I schedule a taxi? I would like to be at the gates at 6:50 to figure out where to go.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here is a map that shows the hotels and where the are in relation to the pedestrian entrance to the parks:

I would estimate that walking with a 6 year old would take around 15 to 20 minutes... it's gonna be about a mile one way, I would be tempted to get a taxi and save her young legs for walking around the parks. Plus, it's better not to be stressed about getting there in time, the taxi will drop you right in front.

Keep in mind that a "block" on the DLR area maps is a lot larger than a normal city block.

When our DS was 6 we stayed at the Sheraton Park (closer than the Courtyard Marriot) and our DS was fine walking to the park in the morning but we had to piggy back him the whole way back to the hotel....

I've stayed there several times and it might be worth taking a cab down Harbor to the main entrance. If you take ART back, please be aware you will be dropped at the Anaheim Marriott around the corner on Concention way. You just walk through the Anaheim Marriott's parking lot and there is a little path that connect's to the Courtyard's parking lot.

That is good to know about the shuttle dropping us off at the Marriott. I think I will call a cab. Thanks for the help!
