Port of Call Question

This maybe a silly question, but I can't seem to find the answer and I hope someone here can help me.

My DH and I are interested in going on one of the Mediterranean cruises, but one of the ports of call (the one we would really be looking forward too) has a * (asterisk) next to it. Can someone tell me what that means?

It means its a port with a tender, meaning that you have to take some form of boat or other vessel to get to the actual island. At least that's my experience. The ship cannot dock close enough to the actual island.

Thank you for your reply. That is what I thought, but I just couldn't find anything on the Disney Cruise website to confirm that.

They do like to bury their info sometimes.

Concentrated in the scenic Mediterranean, our amazing Disney Cruise Line European itineraries weigh anchor in a region of the globe where some of the world's oldest civilizations have flourished and fallen, where illustrious cities still thrive today, and where remarkable ruins remain to reveal their storied pasts.
