BOG just for app and desert?

I have a picky eater, so I've ruled out the possibility of eating an entire meal at Be our Guest this year. Maybe in the future, but right now he just has too many "texture" issues.

However, I did see an open 9:20 ADR for one of the nights we are going to be in the MK and was wondering if it would be okay for us to just go in and split a couple appetizers and desserts.

I'd just like to take in the atmosphere, and at least get to try "some" of the food.

Would they, I guess, "frown" on that? If you go in, are you expected to order a full meal?

I'm thinking this may be the only way I'd get the experience this trip.

Also, I've heard there's a chance you may get to meet Beast on the way out. Is that common? That would be awesome..

but then again.. I don't want to be "that table", if you know what I mean.

WDW TS restaurants in general are gracious and welcoming regardless of how much you plan to order.

They won't say a thing if you choose to order apps and dessert and not a full meal.

As for the Beast, can't tell you how your chances might be for that, but if he is there at the time you are leaving, you will be given the same chance to meet him as everyone else there at the same time.

Oh yes, I knew it depended on if he was there.. I was just curious as to how often he was actually there.. if anyone knew anything about that.

We have eaten there several times and the Beast was always there. However, we were not there that late. Please note: the appetizers and desserts are not large portions. Enjoy.

As others have said, you are welcome to order as much or as little as you'd like.

The Beast was there when I ate at BoG (around 9 pm, when I finished). He does leave periodically and takes a short break.

Regarding the food portions, the desserts aren't really large either. They're basically a cupcake or a cream puff. There are several different flavors and they're quite good, but not really big. They're also the same desserts as lunch time.

I snagged a 8:40 p.m. ressie for our last night at the world, and was thinking of doing the same thing. I hate to cancel, but I am pretty sure DGS who is 5, would never make it that late for dinner. So, since I am bringing the crock pot, the plan is to have a meal at the cabin, and head out to the MK for our last night, and enjoy the ambiance with appetizers and desert. I hope this plan works out, and we will not be shunned for avoiding a full blown meal.
