St. John Champagne Catamaran Sail and Snorkel

Has anyone done this? I don't swim but adore a boat ride. It's our 35th Anniversary and I've always wanted to ride on a catamaran. Stop me if it is not awesome please. All advice is welcome and wanted.

Wink

Some of this is not applicable, but ....

You probably know this but ....

DCL doesn't port at St John. Folks take a ferry, catamaran, or whatever, to St John.

This is a most awesome adventure. St John is 40 minutes away by boat. Occasionally the seas are rough. If really rough occasionally excursions are cancelled, especially ones on small vessels such as catamarans.

Still worth it to book anything from ST Thomas if you are able to deal with the hour to and the hour back on a boat, in any seas. Take meds prior IMHO.

Have you booked?
What ship, month, year?

Good Luck and Happy Cruising

I feel it's the 7 night Fantasy Eastern. This ship rocks.

Great choice.

Yup. Booked. Our cruise is this Sept 21st. Excited to be on the Fantasy for the first time. Looking forward to Satellite Falls and nights on our verandah!

Have you sailed DCL prior?

If not DCL and the Fantasy should satisfy you, unless you have been sailing Crystal or Silverseas recently.

We just did this excursion in Mid March. It was fantastic. Due to weather we went to Christmas Bay instead of Trunk Bay, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. We saw stingrays, sea turtles, and tons of colorful fish. The crew was informative and funny. I felt it was well worth the money. A wonderful half day in the sun and water. We returned to the ship for lunch, and to bring the kids to the Lab because they were tired and had enough sun - then DH and I walked around until all aboard time. Have fun!

We did this on our NCL cruise in Jan. and really enjoyed it. So much so that we considered cancelling what we had planned for St. Thomas on our upcoming Fantasy cruise and doing it again. We snorkeled in from the boat and saw turtles and a bunch of other stuff - very cool. I'll double check with my husband but am pretty sure they had a dinghy and took a few non swimmers into the beach that way. We thought it was a lot of fun and something we would book again but everyone else seemed to enjoy it also.
