Removing Red

I took these photos in POTC and they turned out red. Not sure what I did wrong but can I fix them? Any help is appreciated. I have a raw version of each photo also.

Renee

Adjust your white balance. That is common in PoTC.

Adjusting your light balance is the most obvious answer, and should fix it.

I had some recent pictures though-- The Dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural History at night, where the only lights in the room were big red lights. Using lightroom, I de-saturated the color red... to at least lessen the harshness of it.

White balance can be adjusted in post processing. That's a huge benefit when shooting RAW.

Hey neighbor! Long time no post!

I had that problem in POTC, and also somewhat in Enchanted Tales With Belle. Adjusting the white balance made a huge difference. I bet you'll be very glad you shot in RAW!

Thanks all!! After playing with the white balance and a few other items...I came up with this as a beginning fix.

Any other suggestions or is this decent?

Hi back neighbor!! Not been on the boards lately. A lot going on in our house, with surgery's for my DH and cancer diagnosis for my dad along with several other yucky things. Just not a lot of extra time. Hope all is well with you! Enjoy yet another snowy day!!!

It still looks just a bit on the dark side to me. But I tend to like mine lighter.

So sorry about your dad's diagnosis and the other yucky things.

I'm pretty sick of the snow. I'm guessing the kids will have yet another snow day tomorrow. We're so deep into the school year Katie doesn't even want one. Timmy's a senior and won't have to make it up, so he's all for it of course.

Hang in there. Don't stay gone from the boards too long. And keep me posted on how your dad is doing.
