OK, now that I have booked it, will I be disappointed?

We normally stay in cat 5, midship. I have wanted to try something a little different, so today I booked an 8a Gty and I am wondering if we will end up being disappointed. Just 2 adults, 3-night cruise, will be cruise no. 6, so there is nothing we have to do except eat. Don't need to see the shows, probably won't be any excursions, just enjoy the ship and CC. I don't think we will miss the verandah for just a 3-nighter, but I was wondering if those that were used to a verandah and then didn't have one were sorry they didn't book one again. For 3 nights, I am going to be fine, right?

We gave up the verandas for inside rooms. Use the room to sleep and change, so save the money for more vacations.

Well, on this sailing the verandahs are not terribly much more, so it isn't the money, I was just looking for a bit of a change. I really want to try an inside, but that may be too much of a change for me to process.

Have you seen the photos of the 8a's? They are awesome.
I'm sure you will enjoy. Variety is the spice of life.

I have, but thank you for the link, and that is why I booked the 8a. I guess my concerns are that we will be at the far end of the ship from the adult pool area, we could end up under the Vibe which might make for some noise, and the extra motion from being in the back of the ship.

Compromise...navagator's verandah...lol. Actually we did that on our last cruise, it was just me and DD, for a short 4 night cruise.

We have an AMAZING verandah lined up for our Alaska cruise next year. There is NO WAY I'm cruising Alaska without a verandah... MUCH time will be spent sitting on it.

But the 8a' are forward on 5 and 6, assuming you don't get upgraded.
We are talking about the Dream, aren't we?
I believe it's the theater that could generate sound.

I do think you are right. I was looking at the 8As on the Wonder as well, and I guess they are in the back. I also read some cabin reviews, and it doesn't help that the reviews for all the ships are mixed in together.

Forward, that just may be a real problem as far as motion. Heading back to look at the deck plans again.

I have a B2B booked for next May, the CA Coast and then Alaska, and we have a verandah booked for that so that is why it wouldn't be so hard to not have a verandah on this short sailing. If we are going to ever try not having a verandah, I think this would be the sailing.

You actually won't be THAT close to the Vibe. Your closest noise source will be the Walt Disney theater, and we didn't even notice it. And, as mentioned previously, the 8As are fore, not aft.
