Well I havent done busch gardens at all with DD who is 10 and havent been since 1998. I am trying to decide if its worth a visit as not got it planned but we all love animals.
A few questions:- Is there enough time to see most things by the time the coach drops and picks up? how long does it take via the free coach and is there a toilet on the coach? any must do's as not really into rollercoasters. time the coach drops off? As the tickets for SW seem to be a similar price for 2 parks it maybe worth considering. Any views would be gratefully received

We went last year and thought it was kinda meh.
We love the animals and my DGF loves the Coasters but we were done by 1pm. Luckily we drove as we would have been waiting all afternoon for the coach to pick us up. We have been previous years and spent the whole day there but tbh nothing really has seemed to changed at all. You must do the Kangaroo feeding though, its brill and only $5pp.One of my DGF favourite moments of the trip. Everyones different though, while I wouldn't be bothered if I didn't go there again some people absolutely love it.Personally I would go to Seaworld over Busch every time. |

Sorry Ghost but if you got round by 1pm you must have missed half the park.
By far my favourite park. We mailnly look at the animals doing the odd ride between, we can just about fit it all in in 1 day, although last trip the lines were zero wait so we got done a little quicker than usual. Its a massive park, train ride alone takes about 45min for full tour. Animal displays are great, love Jungala.

However we did this again on our last trip and my opinion has completely changed. We like rides and there are some really great roller coasters and water rides here. (Not a fan of the wooden one though, Gwazi is it? - all i can say is ouch! ) However it's the animals and smaller attractions that really make this park for me. The train ride is really worth doing a full loop as is the cable car as you can get some great views. I also think its the nicest park to walk around. Really beautifully landscaped and some really nice places to sit and have a drink/bite to eat etc. Can't wait to go back next time.

After visiting animal kingdom you are spoiled, when I went I just cannot stop comparing BG and AK. Everything is better at AK.
Except roller coaster. If you like roller coaster, BG is the best Florida park hands down. If you don't like coaster, it's a wasted day. |

We love Busch - but having always been in October we found it quiet - to the extent it lacks that little bit of atmosphere you get at Disney.
We thought it might be different in late August - but it was the same. No queues and easy to do all the big coasters (several times on cheetah and Sheikra), we love animals so did all of these and spent time with the tigers and watching elephant feeding. We also had breakfast, lunch and dinner there with our all you can eat food pass and still had time to kill before the coach return. There is plenty to keep you busy at Busch but during low crowds it is easy to cover everything quite quickly - we take advantage of this and take things at a more leisurely pace it is a novel experience when the Disney parks can be so much busier!

I know if AK wasn't a Disney park included in their ticket I wouldn't pay to go in where I do for BG. We can't all like the same

Yes this Having said that we haven't been back to BG for a few years so perhaps we should give it another go. We have been a few times and I feel like a PP with it lacking in atmosphere and just thought it's not the park for us. I know its not too far away in the scheme of things but I just feel like its a wasted day for us. I do know a few people that absolutely love it so I would always say give it a chance and try for yourself.

Busch is much better than AK. There are lots more animals at Busch and lots of hidden trails that are worth exploring.
If you are done by 1pm you have missed most of the park.

As mentioned in a previous post we were done by maybe 2-3pm if not slightly earlier. We went in October. It was dead quiet and every ride was either a walk or closed. But I suppose someone who loves coasters could easily spend the day there.Just not my thing that's all. |

Busch Gardens is by far our families favourite park. Park hours when we visit are usually 9-6pm but we really struggle to see and do everything. If you are a lover of Rollarcoasters then there is no better park to visit in Orlando, IMO, however like you've mentioned if your not overly into the "big" rides I would maybe have a re-think? We always try and eat at Zambia Smokehouse and love to sit just under Shreika whilst eating, love it ![]() I cant comment too much on transfers etc as we always hire our own car. Annette

Gosh this just goes to show how everyone enjoys different things!
We struggle to do Busch in a day and in October we are planning on staying in a nearby motel and doing a 2nd day there. The kids absolutely love it and we do too esp for the thrill rides. |

Well thanks for your all ur comments. Im not really into coasters but my DB is. I just lovvve animals and thought it would be a change to do somewhere new. Do they still have the Budweiser places not that Im a big drinker and does the transfer coach hv a toilet on.
It is amazing how peoples views differ on parks. I love AK but dont think It wld be fair to compare it to BG. My fav park has always been HS and DD epcot. Everyone has there own tastes but we all keep going back so we must all love it as a whole.
