kettles and heaters - locked up or thrown away?

I would like to have a kettle for my post-cruise week at the world. Will DCL secure the kettle during my cruise or throw it away?

I know that I can get another cheap kettle at Wal-Mart on my drive to the world, but it seems to be a waste when I have an easy to pack one right here at home.

I don't know what they would do. You can call and ask, and be prepared for the people in the cruise terminal to do something different

This rates right up there with Clothes Irons on a cruise ship - a slight fire hazard that will be banned

If they do anything at all, they would just take it and give it back to you at the end of the cruise.
If you tried to use it in your stateroom (I know you said you weren't going to, but this is an "if") the stateroom host would probably unplug it and put it in the closet or tell you it's prohibited.
But they won't throw it away.
