Early or late port arrival

We're sailing to Alaska out of Vancouver in July. Pre-cruise we're staying at the Pan Pacific.

For convenience sake, is it better to board early or late. Since we're staying at the PP, we'll be pretty flexible. I just don't know if its better to be early and avoid the rush, or late and avoid the waiting around on the ship waiting for the rooms to be ready.

We'll have three whiny teens with us, so all options will be objectionable to them I'm sure.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

The last two Disney Cruises we have been on there were not big lines getting on. I would not have a preference one way or the other. The rooms are not ready until about 1:30 pm. If you are taking small kids on take their swimsuits in a day bag. Then while you are waiting on your room your kids can be in the pool having fun.

I think the assigned arrival times are having an effect on the crowds. I like to get to the port as early as my assigned time allows. I love that first brunch. And the kids can't wait to hit the pools. Besides, if you were unable to score Palo reservations online... Your best bet is getting them onboard. Early.

We're not worried so much about Palo. Its my son and I and my sister and her kids. We don't want to go out on a 'romantic' dinner without our kids. . We'll have them bring it to our room.

My sister and the kids can brunch it up before we go to our rooms, but having gluten issues, not so much for me.

I'd just play it by ear. Personally though, I'll be moseying down to the ship taking my sweet time. No rushing on vacation for this gal. :-)
