Sheraton Cable Beach or British Colonial Hilton?
I know this has probably been asked several times already, but I have not seen any updated information on either. Can you please give me some reviews on both? It will be me, DH, DD 9 and DD6. I am in love with turquoise water and dream of being on the beach with a fruity drink in hand.
I liked the thought of Hilton because it is within walking distance, but read that the water is not as clear there due to the cruise ships kicking up the sand and such. I liked the thought of the Sheraton because it was much cheaper and seemed to have more for the kids to do. We were planning on getting off the ship as soon as we can and then coming back for a late lunch around 1 or 2pm. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about a shore excursion? If so, where? When?

We did the BCH and I would skip it. Not nearly as nice as photos.

We are going in November 2013. Was looking for a decent beach trip in Nassau. I was torn between the two options I mentioned. Just wondering if anyone had any reviews or advice to provide.

We're doing the Sheraton at Cable Beach. We'll be there at the end of Oct. If you remind me, I'll be happy to let you know how it went when we get back (prob 10/27). But I'm no help until then though. Sorry.

I would check over on cruise critic on the Bahamas boards. Might be more reviews there.

We did the Sheraton on our Spring Break cruise last year. We took the jitney over and (I believe) paid around $30 PP for bracelets. We had use of the pool, the beach and chairs, and there was a bar. But, we were there on Easter Sunday, so they were doing a church service on the beach, and there wasn't much party atmosphere going on.
It was find, and I'd do it again if I was inclined to get off the ship in Nassau. |

We did this about two years ago when DD was 8. There are two hotels: Sheraton and Wyndham. They offer different packages at different prices. You can o to either hotel's pools and beaches. The Sheraton pools are heated, Wyndham is not. Wyndham pool has a slide, Sheraton has swim up bar. Price ranges from $30 per prison to $100 for a day room for four. Wyndham prices are higher but include lunch. If you go to the FAQ sticky and look under Nassau excursions you can get information on how to get there using the local bus. The beaches had chairs for free but umbrellas were extra. Some ofte packages include umbrellas and beach toys, but not all
