Last two years, on December, Target ran a promotion with a coupon for a $10 Target Gift Card for every $50 spent.

The $50 included Disney Gift Cards. Hence you could get them at 20% off. Many paid off their DCL or WDW vacations with this. I only got $700 worth of them.

I was a very successful promotion for Target - hopefully they'll do it again.

I don't know how successful it is for Target. They do limit the coupons to 1 per family, but then don't enforce it. They lose money on every one of us who bought multiple cards.

My Target is remodeling and just sent me a $10 off $75, so I bought $25 of merchandize and a $50 card. When I did that, it printed another $10 off so I did it again. Alas, that was the end of the fun.

So, people were allowed to buy 20 or 30 cards at one time as they did not enforce the rule? or did they go in with 1 coupon everyday. Going to Target everyday would eat up gas & time...

The computer allowed you to use 4 coupons per transaction, so you could buy 4x $50 cards, and then do it again. Some people reported doing this over and over with the same cashier, others had to return.
