Help? How can I buy dinner at Remy for parents in diff cabin
Hi Vets,
We want to buy our parents dinner at Remy on Fantasy. They are in a diff cabin so when we go online it only allows us to book for our Cabin. Was attempting to surprise them. Afraid if we book under our name Remy wont let us change the reservation to them? Any help? Thanks |

Are your reservations linked?

Even with linked reservations, if they are a different CC status you won't be able to book at the same time. However, you can add them to your reservation once their booking window opens. I wouldn't fret, just wait until then and add them to your reservation.
Enjoy your cruise! |

If you book a dinner at Remy in your name, I cannot imagine that they will not let you pay for the reservation, but give it to your parents. Talk to the host at Remy. I'm sure there's something they can do for you.

We have 3 staterooms, all with linked dining. The system was having issues allowing us to book a table for 6 at Palo, even though it showed availability for 3 tables of two. I called DCL and after being transferred to a supervisor (who also couldn't figure out what the problem was) they were able to do a work around by booking a table of 6 under JUST my husband's name. They told me that he could then basically bring any 5 adults to dinner with him that night. Now, this might end up being a nightmare for us on the night of dining to make sure the charges are split per stateroom, but if you are able to get DCL to do this for you at Remy, it will help you keep this as a surprise for your parents. Because the reservation is for 6 people under just my husband's name, it does not show up under the booked activities for the other 4 people we are linked with. It's pretty much invisible except when looking at just our stateroom activity bookings. |

To clarify : we don't want to go but just send them. So problem is it would be our name and we are paying but want the reservation in their name.
Unless, Palo doesn't care if it's us or them that shows up????? |

I agree with the person who said just to book it in your name. Then when you get onboard, go up to Remy and explain to them that it will be your parents who are going to dine there, give them YOUR room card/key and have them go ahead and charge it to your stateroom. I'm sure there won't be any problem at all.

The only way this would be a problem is if you also want a Remy reservation for yourself. You can't have two pre-booked Remy reservations.Just call and ask and I'm sure they'll have suggestions on how to do it. Nancy |

You can go to the Remy/Palo booking desk on Deck 12 after you board the ship and talk to the cast member face to face. I think if you explain that you wish to surprise your parents and pay for their dinner at Remy, they can set it up in their system. I'd assume they'd want to see your shipboard ID and confirm your stateroom number as the "payee".

This was a long time ago, but I gave my reservation to Palo to a friend on the Magic with no problem. It turned out great in that unbeknownst to any of us, he boyfriend proposed to her in Palo!

Are you trying to keep them from knowing the cost of dinner? If not you can always reserve it for them and then call DCL and provide a gift on On board credit. They will ask for a message and you can tell your parents on the card that this is for dinner a Remy.

I would have the reservation in their name but go to GS and just have them apply the money to their account.
