Cabin review request - 7014 on the Fantasy
I've looked through the cabin reviews, but haven't seen one on cabin 7014 on the Fantasy. I know we're at the front of the ship, I think it's Port side, 7th floor, and wondering about view, rocking, etc.
Thanks! |

I would like to hear this as well. My main concern is that it is directly across from the laundry room and I am concerned about the noise.

We just stayed in 7024 and I did the laundry one night. It is very quiet and the laundry room is set back with a little alcove. It's not directly open to the hallway like the Wonder/Magic. The only noise was the running of Tweens down the halls. Unrelated to the LR.

thanks, so then your room was very close to where mine will be. Did you notice much rocking of the ship, especially on the first night? We've usually been mid-ship, and my dh is concerned about rocking. I just booked last week for Easter, and didn't have a lot of options.

This was our smoothest sailing out of 6. Not a lot of rocking. I loved the location. We are at the other end next time - I'll miss the convenience to the laundry room and the Walt Disney Theater.

Noisy Laundry Room
My son and his family were in 7014 on the Dream and thought that they felt a little more motion there than in prior cruises where their cabins were more mid-ship. It certainly was not enough to cause any distress though, so I wouldn't be concerned about that. But the laundry room directly across the hall created a lot of noise; people were loud in the hallways, the door slammed shut, and since the machines broke down a lot the techs were always coming and going to get them fixed.
I was a little further down the hallway (7068) and had no problems with either noise or motion. Did it ruin their cruise? No, but it would not be their first choice in a cabin next time. |

I'm not finding unbiased info on Fantasy cabin 12510 on that website. Clearly, one of their "professional travel reviewers" has not stayed in this cabin or a similiar one on the Dream/Fantasy given the info posted. While this website is a good one, I'm going to say some of the posted info is not reliable based on a couple of cabins I've looked up on it.

disney fantasy stateroom 7014
we just stayed in room 7014 on the fantasy Sept 2012, with a family of 5 (children 1,4,& 7). I never once heard any noise from the laundry room which was directly across from our room, and actually did find the laundry room to be completely convenient.
I did feel a bit more motion being in the forward of the ship, but not enough to cause any motion sickness. I would definitely stay in this room again without worry, but did book another cruise while onboard and will try the back side of the ship next time to see if any benefits. |

We were on the Hurricane Sandy cruise in this stateroom. I can confirm that we did not have an issue with noise from the laundry room. Up until the night of the hurricane we did not feel any excessive movement in this room, on the night of the hurricane there was not a stateroom on the ship that didn't feel the motion. We only had 2 people in the room and loved the extra space and the round shower. I would not have any hesitation booking this room again.

smooth sailing in room 7014
we sailed the fantasy in Oct 2012. It was in the front of the ship and yes, it was just across from the laundry room. We had friends who were in the room next to us. We all found the ship to be smooth with NO unexpected "bumpiness". I actually tend to get motion sickness and did take Bonine every morning. None of our 5 family members were in the least bit sick, and nether was our friends (family of 6).
Also, there were no issues with noise being directly across from the laundry. I actually went ahead and took advantage of being able to do some laundry while I was there. Our trip was perfect, and we booked again while we were there for Oct 2013!!!
