It's been years since I've been to a party with a keg of beer (and all those were before I was 25), but I'm pretty sure I've never seen it kept in a bathtub, nor do I recall any red solo cups. But, I've definitely been to this "kind" of party

Oh, and "Whiskey in the jar" is a Thin Lizzy song. Metallica's version is a remake

Its actually a very old, traditional Irish song that has been recorded by many artists from Burl Ives to the Grateful Dead.

The song first gained wide exposure when the Irish folk band The Dubliners performed it internationally as a signature song, and recorded it on three albums in the 1960s. Thin Lizzy hit the Irish and British pop charts with the song in the early 1970s

The American metal band Metallica brought it to a wider rock audience in 1998 by playing a version very similar to that of Thin Lizzy's, though with a heavier sound, winning a Grammy for the song in 2000 for Best Hard Rock Performance.

I knew Neal McCoy before he was famous. He dated my friend and we would all go to clubs together. He was a really nice, sweet, charming guy. She should have stuck with him.

Red, Red Wine is not by UB40, although I love that version. It is a Neil Diamond song. He did a slow version. I once saw Neil Diamond start off singing RRW as his slow version, then morph it into UB40's version. It was fun.

When I think of drinking and songs, I think of the perfect country and western song.........You Never Even Called Me By My Name and its famous lyrics,

"Well, I was drunk the day my momma got out of prison
and I went to pick her up in the rain.
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck,
she got runned over by a damned old train."

I hate it when that happens.............
