Merida-On the Fantasy?

Can anyone tell me if Merida is on the Fantasy? My daughter has requested a Merida dress but I want to make sure she can meet her on the cruise before I purchase the costume. Thanks.

I don't think so. Haven't seen any pictures of her and she certainly wasn't on the Dream or Wonder (but the movie was still playing and the shop was full of her outfits).

Merida was not sailing with us on the Fantasy week of 2/16-2/23.

I just wanted to add that even if there is no Merida, buy the costume anyway. There were several girls dressed as Merida and they fit in just fine with all the Cinderellas, Snow Whites and Ariels. The princess store had many versions of the costumes, and lots of accessories so the story is still at the front of the brand.

My daughter is also a Merida fan, but I had to make the costume because she's outgrown all the available ones (she's 17); she did not wear it on the ship, but I think there were a few times she wished she'd brought it.

FYI Disneystore.com has 25% off costumes and free shipping. Not sure for how long though.

Does anyone know how comfortable the Disney Store costumes are? My DD (3.5) is very particular about clothing being "comfy". She has a couple cheaper (Halloween) princess costumes that get no wear because they are scratchy. I'm afraid these would have the same issues (rough seams, scratchy fabric). She wants to wear princess costumes, but takes them off as soon as she puts them on. She does love her princess nightgowns (they are stretchy and comfy), but those are not MDR appropriate. :P

I wish Garanimals made princess costumes! :P

My granddaughter has several and complains of itchy fabric on all of them. She usually wears a longer t-shirt under them, then is fine. Maybe she could wear the nightgowns under the gowns.

Yes, my daughter says they're itchy too but I put a t-shirt underneath and it helps with that.

Thanks for the responses on the "not comfy" princess dresses!

When I Googled "Comfortable Princess Costume", one of the first links was to an old thread on Disboards:

Looks like the store is still going, and getting great reviews. We're going to order a Deluxx Rapunzel dress from there and will report back.

By the way, there is an AWESOME Merida outfit. How cute is this?!

We cruised the fantasy in Oct 2012 and Merida was not on the ship at that time!

I think the disney store costumes are LESS itchy than store bought (target/walmart )one. It is a different fabric, and the lace and extras on them are better quality.

If you go on the Fantasy next year on the Feb. 15th sailing, Merida will be there! (My three year old daughter look just like her with real curly, long red hair and the spunk to go with it; no wig needed).

But seriously, I wish they would have Merida there too!

I have bought all of my daughter's dresses off of eBay. The most I've ever paid was $20 and these are the dresses they sell in the parks for $70 +

Bump!

Can anyone update this and let me know if Merida has been spotted on the Fantasy recently? We are cruising in less than 2 weeks and my daughter would love to meet her. Thanks!
