GCH or DLH ??

Does one hotel have larger grounds to enjoy?
Does one have better poolside restaurants ?
Don't care about the slides.

Both are really good. I'm sure each has its proponents but I wouldn't differentiate between the two based on the pools or grounds. I think it comes down to more about which hotel's themeing you prefer.

We just got one from a 4 night stay at the DLH. I would absolutely choose the GCH and not look back.

They are themed so differently. It depends on which you prefer. Also, important to keep in mind that only the GC has balconies. A very few select room at the DLH have balconies. I think they may be suites, too. The DLH is very Disney, which I love. My favorite hotel, however, is the GC because of how beautiful it is. It's almost breathtaking when you walk in. I love it! The pools at the DLH are way more fun for kids. Though the pools at the GC are great, too. The DLH pool has a baja, type, shelf. Meaning you can sit in about 3 inches of water and enjoy the sun. I loved that. The restaurants at the GC are better, in my opinion.

I haven't stayed at either hotel yet, but we are going to be staying at the DLH for our upcoming trip. I had a choice between any of the DL resort hotels.

We chose the DLH because it has the disney themeing, the waterslides (I know you're not interested, but it was one of our key points), close proximity to the monorail, and my kids are fans of Tangaoua Terrace and Trader Sams. The GCH has some great views of DCA and you can see WOC from some rooms. At the DLH you can see fireworks from some rooms and the music is piped in from the TV.

We "youtubed" both hotels and checked reviews at different websites. the DHL got the more consistly "loved our stay" rating.
