Our next WDW trip is the first week of September 2013, I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra money to add the water parks for or ds and dd, 6 and 4 respectively. We are staying at Boardwalk Villas and i was thinking that would suffice for water activities for them because they are young and the water parks wouldn't have a whole lot more than the hotel pools.
Does that sound reasonable or should I spend the extra money on the water parks?

We love the water parks, but the 4 year old won't be able to do all the rides - 6 year old may be too small for some as well.

The water parks do have a LOT more than the pools, but they have a LOT that your age kids can not or may not be willing to do. There are a lot of big slides at the water parks. Unless your kids are used to spending a lot of time in a pool (and therefore it's not too special) or they are really tall and dare-devils, I would just go with the resort pool.

We debated the same thing and decided we were better off (especially with the extra cost) hanging out at the resort pool.

See how they do with the water slide at bwv. If they can't get enough of it maybe consider a water park. But then again, if they can't get enough of the bwv water slide, you might as well just hang out there since there its no extra cost, and they are happy as clams. You can always upgrade or buy tickets once you get there and see how things are going.

I have 6 yo triplets and have found that stay at the resort was better for us then water park. My girls are not strong swimmers and they wouldn't do most of the slides. Also they were too little for alot of things when I checked last year. I couldn't justify the price for the value that we would get.

We are bringing our dd who will be 2.5 at the time to TL for the kids area and lazy river. She loves water and we thought this would be fun for her.
