Hiya , tried that the first time.....anope, that doesnt work, get invalid value when it gets to the alamo site from that link.

I have used both Dollar and Thrifty and currently have a reservation with Dollar this April. I still plan on using either one in the future if the price is right. I found this article on the Denver Post and there are other posts out there about some deceptive practices with adding insurance after you have declined it. Be careful when you are signing the electronic keypads and make sure you read everything you are signing. The lawsuit alleges that the agent asks you to initial the electronic keypad and in doing so you are actually agreeing to the added insurance. Pam - i just tried your dates, and discovered that the rates stay low for the 11th and 12th, but rise dramatically for Saturday. Sorry, i can't help more. Be persistent and keep checking. I have found that the rates tend to go down during midweek, and later at night.

The Alamo codes didn't work for me today either, but Dollar and Thrifty's city specials sure did.

Will keep looking for better deals, of course.

My rates at National dropped again ($6.40) for pickup at TPA on 4/1 and return to MCO on 4/7 for a midsize using only my Emerald Aisle discount of 10%. My total with taxes and fees is $150.43. For some reason none of my entertainment book coupons and codes are working for these dates. I think I'll bring them along and ask about applying them when we pick up the car.

Not much of a drop in price...but hey, that's one more tropical drink for me!

Dollar April 14 (9am) - 21 (6pm) Rate Code RWXW8 for Estimated Total of $380 (Full Size)

I booked Thrifty for April 15-20 with no codes for $162.77 for a full size car with all taxes. I just put your dates and times for a full size and got $197.10 with all taxes.

This happened to me with Dollar in September. I called them as soon as I received my credit card statement and was told there was nothing I could do, I had signed the electronic pad. I called my Visa and was told there was nothing I could do, I had signed. The woman on the phone at Dollar told me to be very careful when I am done with the electronic pad and to make sure that the total on the pad is the exact same total that I have on my reservation paperwork.

I just booked with Enterprise, 4/16 - 4/27, standard size, $272 total. Used BJ's code and upgrade coupon, although I think it was the same price with no code.

My Alamo rates came down today...picking up in ft Myers 4/6..... Drop off MCO 4/14.... Signed in to my Alamo account and used the Visa coupon code total with all taxes is 149.01 for a full size
