Do you actulay have to change planes or will it just be a layover? SW and AT are merging their flights so you might have a SW or AT plane the whole way thru.

Also, the fees will be different if you book thru the Airtran site compared to the SW site. Example, booking thru SW site still gives you free luggage, but thru the AT site you pay the per piece of luggage fee.

Change planes, both segments are on SWA. There is an AT connection that leaves 1 hour and 40 minutes later. there are two options for leaving at 630am.

You should be fine but what I would suggest is sitting in the front of the plane that way you can get off the plane quickly to make it to your connection fast.

All of the SW gates are close together, so go for it if you don't mind the increased travel time and splitting your family up into groups of 2s on the plane.

I would suggest using DME due luggage not making the transfer. That way you don't have to deal with getting late luggage.

I'm a SWA pilot based at BWI and I normally plan on 15 minutes if I have to go from the end of the B Concourse to the end of the A Concourse. Also plan on at least at least 10 minutes to get off the plane if you are anywhere beyond the wings. So worse case scenario is it will take 25 minutes once your flight arrives at the gate until you reach your new gate

I have a 30 minute connection in Denver on my way home from Las Vegas in a few weeks.... I have told DD16 that if we miss the connection, I guess we're spending the night in Denver...... We don't have to be home for a few days, they can take their time getting us there! LOL

It all worked out. I booked the flight this morning for $121. About an hour ago I checked and the nonstop had dropped to $125 so I canceled and rebooked.
