That's what we do too. Last time we booked a compact car through Alamo. When DH went to pick up the car there were minivans in the compact aisle.

Thank you OP for this question this was exactly my question. We are leaving in 5 days and I have been going back and forth about what to do but after reading all your suggestions we'll stick with DME. We get in at 9:20 in the morning and I want to maximize our time as we are only staying for 2 days this time around. Thanks!!!

As far as hassle factor, I think renting a car is much more of a hassle and stressful than using DME. Trying to sell you additional insurance, making sure you aren't charged for scratches, dents,etc. making sure you have the correct directions, tolls, etc. DME is soooo easy and relaxing.

Heck I rent a car at MCO every year and DW and DD's still take DME to the resort just so we don't have to mess with getting luggage. DME usually is pretty efficient at getting you to your resort even if you have to stop at a couple other resorts on the way.
