Jambo House vs Kidani Village Studio

I am in the final stages of booking a dvc Jambo House studio for an 8 night trip. I was wondering what the differences between a Kidani studio and a Jambo house studio are. It's for my honeymoon so I picked Jambo house because I read it only has one bed in their DVC rooms instead of two queens in a Kidani studio. Is this true?

I'm just trying to gain some knowledge Thanks!

The studios at Jambo and Kidani both have a queen bed and a pullout couch.

I would choose Jambo, you'll be closer to more restaurants and counter service.

I've stayed in both. I was traveling with friends so the bathroom setup was better at Jambo, the sink and counter are outside the bathroom, where at Kidani it's all inside. Other than that, the rooms are the same.

OKW is the only DVC resort at wdw that has 2 queens in a studio.

Jambo or Kidani....There really is no difference in a studio, so stay where you prefer. It's only a 10 min walk between the 2 and there are shuttles as well, so the restaurant thing is no big deal. I like the pool at Kidani better as well.

Whatever you choose...enjoy yor trip!!

For a studio I would choose Jambo house too. I like being in "main" building with a quick service (Mara) to grab breakfast/snacks and the I prefer Jambo's whole atmosphere to Kidani.

I think the big advantage at Kidani is having the extra bathroom in 1 or 2 bedroom units. Also if you have a 1 or 2 bedroom you get the kitchen (either Jambo or Kidani), so it makes the quick service less useful.

In my opinion, after staying in both, if only staying in studios, its an easy decision to stay in Jambo (OP's question). If staying in a 1 bedroom or larger, I am torn, as there are things I like better at Kidani, but overall like Jambo better. And don't get me wrong- either one you choose is still great. Good luck and congrats on the upcoming honeymoon! Have fun!!!

Many have the opinion that the best savanna views are from the lower floors. When Disney decided to convert the under performing AKL to DVC rooms, they used the 5th and 6th floors. That means that you will be on the 5th floor at Jambo.

If you feel that the lower floors do have the better view then you should book at Kidani.

Jambo is larger, noisier with more going on so if your are looking for a relaxing time, Kidani gets another vote.

I like the studios much better at Jambo, 2 sinks in the dressing area is just one reason.

Took me a minute to realize that in my early morning stupor I typed Aulani instead of Kidani.

I have stayed at both but will not comment regarding the room. Jambo was not through dvc and kadani was a large suite with friends.
I agree that kadani has a better pool; however,
I liked the convenience of getting snacks/breakfast at Jambo, looking around the shop, and eating at the restaurants. It's not far from kadani but after a few mornings, I was wishing it was closer. Depends on your interests. We did not swim that often.

Yes, you can swim in either pool at AKL/AKV.

Kidani is quaint and very nice. For a honeymoon? I am choosing Jambo every time. When you walk in the lobby you are immediately WOW'd. I like the pool and pool bar better at Jambo for a Honeymooning couple. The Kidani pool still gets me every time I walk through the parking lot, I really feel they could have done a better job with that.

IMO there is every reason to visit Jambo when staying at Kidani while i find it hard to find a reason the other way, except dining at Sanaa.

The view from the lobby into victoria Fall's and Boma is fabulous

The Kidani 1BR is nicer and the Kidani pool is nicer... but the Jambo lodge is nicer, and Jambo has concierge rooms, and Jambo has Boma!
