They are more than worth it if you are a big soda or coffee drinker but if you are too far from a refill station it's not going to be worth it. |

Just got back. I believe the sign said $15.49 for the mug. Ours came with the QS dining plan. They were the same mugs as last year. We got drinks while we were at the pool and at night. Sometimes I got coffee in the AM, but our room had a coffee maker.

Not worth it to us, but we are not soda drinkers. We tend to drink more water.
We also make our own coffee in the mornings, so don't even use it for that. I do buy an occasional one for a souvenir for home though. |

It has been worth it to buy two for our family to share. We are not at the resort enough to make it worth it for everyone to have their own. Everyone gets one on the dining plan so that is a nice touch but not important enough for us to purchase the dining plan.

Stayed at POFQ so easy to fill quickly. None of us are coffee drinkers but tea and hot cocoa hit the spot! Not alot of choices for 3 year old granddaughter since the fruit juice was overly sweet and there really was nothing else that she would want. With that said - she loved her cup and we would just fill w/juice from the room that we had brought.

In 2012 and 2013, we received the mugs with the dining plan, but we did purchase them in 2011. Depends on how much you drink - we went at night and in the mornings to get iced tea or coffee and found that the mugs were worth it. We just got back from POFQ and they do have nice Cuisinart machines in the rooms that make 1 or 2 cups of coffee. You can get more coffee pods from the concierge if needed. I brought dry creamer from home since that is what my fiance prefers, but the machines in the room were really nice.

If you want it just for coffee, try the Starbucks VIA packets. They are small and all you need is hot water for them. I used them for a camping trip last year and they were great!

We don't drink coffee and we do buy the refillable mugs. We love our pool time and enjoy drinking soft drinks when we are playing by the pool. The mugs are cute and we like using them at home.

Had they not been included in our free dining package, we wouldn't have purchased them. I filled it once during our trip. However, we did bring a coffee maker( probably against the rules!) with us and my DH filled his mug every morning and carried it to the parks. We use them all the time at home and they hold up very well. I could see us purchasing on for DH since he did use it a lot.

Thanks for all the opinions. I think I will buy one, now I just hope they put me close to the front like I requested.

Mugs
Are the refillable mugs different for AOA? We are going in May and I was hoping to get a new one as we have never stayed there.

consider if you're trip is in june you could find yourself back at the pool during the day so you'd be able to use it then too. we also often share our mugs and honestly have taken them back and reused them on more than one trip. they keep the same design for a while.

For us they are well worth it. Both my mom and I drink a ton of coffee/soda/Powerade/hot chocolate, etc while at the resort. Usually two or three cups of coffee each morning, soda or Powerade (when available) when we return to the resort midday and then hot chocolate (me) and coffee (her) once we go back to the resort at night.
Plus we use the mugs everyday once we return home. So for us personally it is money well spent. I guess you just have to figure out how many fountain drinks/cups of coffee, etc you think you might have during your stay and see if it makes financial sense for you and your family. |
