5K End Time?

Hi everyone!

I'm beginning to think that participating in the 5K will be a fun thing. I have read that the meeting time is at 8:30. Not sure what time the actual run begins, though. Will we be done by 10:00 AM? We have an excursion booked at that time, so wondering if it's best to book a later excursion. Thanks for your help!

There are some variables... If the ship is able to dock on time, how fast the crew gets organized and gets everyone off the ship and how fast you can run a 5K. From when I went I would say that the majority of people finished in 30-40 minutes.
For our group we did meet at 8:30 and started the run a little after 9. A 10 am excursion would probably be pretty rushed depending on where on the island you have to get to.

Thank you both! I'll definitely take all that under advisement!

I just returned from the Fantasy yesterday and ran the 5k on Friday. We did not meet until 9:15. I would guess the run probably didn't begin until 9:45 or so. It may depend on what time you arrive at CC. Booking a later port adventure may be best.

this was our experience last summer. i didnít end up doing it because it essentially burned half the day at CC. previous trips, i recall it being more the 8ish times.

I ran the 5K a month ago. The actual run started around 9:40. It's so totally worth it if you have any interest in running. It's such a unique experience, I enjoyed it so much and really treasure the cheesy plastic medal. I have a number of marathon medals and other long race medals, but there is something special about this.

It really depends on your cruise and the arrival time at CC. I did this last year for an Eastern itinerary on the Fantasy. We didn't start the 5K until around 10:15 am.

We were on this cruise. It had gotten really hot by this time too. So if you want to go back to the ship to shower, you will lose some time. It was about 12 noon by the time my husband and I got to Serenity Bay after completing the race, going back to the ship to quickly shower and change, and set up our stuff on the beach. And we took the tram both ways. So if its a late start, you will lose most of the morning.
