Easter not so Disney-ish

Anyone dissappointed with the Easter gift offerings for cruise? I thought it would be more Disney-ish, not just bunnies.

Disney World doesn't even offer a chocolate Mickey.

If you are sailing out of Port Canaveral you can contact Shirley at www.theperfectgift.cc to put together a custom gift basket for you.

I'm very disappointed too. I've been waiting for them to come out and I guess I had an idea in my head that they would have baskets with kid's items (Disney stuffed animals, etc.). Now I'm trying to decide what to do on our cruise.

We sailed on the wonder last Eater. We picked out our own items in the gift shops for the baskets. The wrapped and delivered them to our rooms.

We cruised on the Wonder at Easter. They don't do much (anything?) on the ship either, besides chocolate eggs in the buffet.

I have to say, I looked at these in anticipation for next year and was underwhelmed. Looks like I'll give Shirley a call next year.

We were on the Fantasy last year for Easter, and I was disappointed because they didn't do anything for the kids. I thought they would have organized some kind of Easter egg hunt or something especially for the little ones. I just packed our own filled plastic eggs and hid them while our son was sleeping. We also left the normal Easter basket presents in the fish extender pocket instead. I just made sure to buy small items.

Agreed! I'd be surprised if a cruise line went all out to celebrate a religious holiday. At least Christmas is so widespread it's basically non-religious at this point for many.

But isn't the point to have something for everyone on the ship?! Just like any other activity, those that want could participate.

I sailed with my family last year on the Fantasy during Easter. They do have a mass in the Buena Vista Theater celebrated by a catholic priest. It was so crowded, I'm hoping they move it into the Walt Disney Theater this year. Besides the mass, The Easter Bunny was in the lobby taking pictures and MIckey and Minnie were dressed in their Easter Sunday best! The gift shops were making baskets however, not worth the price and items in it. My wife and I make a stop at Walmart, Target, etc. prior to going on the ship and make up baskets for the kids. Its not convienient, however the kids get a kick that the Easter Bunny finds them out at sea! We would keep them in my parents stateroom and have them place it outside the room when the kids woke up. You can ask your stateroom attendant to help with this if you are not travelling with anyone.
