2 1/2 week Disneyland and Hollywood Trip! (Oct. 2012) - The DIS Discussion Forums

I'm not sure why I never posted this trip report. Maybe I was exhausted after this long trip?! But here it is...better late than never!

Last October we had a mega trip that started with me flying solo to Napa Valley for a seminar then meeting up with my husband and 4 kids at LAX. Now is a good time to describe my dear husband...he is crazy enough to fly on his own with 4 kids 7 and under from Chicago O'Hare to LAX!

The kids are awesome little travelers...even the youngest who was 1 1/2 at the time! And they are well travelled. The baby has been to 19 states and 4 foreign countries so far. This was her second trip to DL and her third trip to California. The older ones have travelled even more.

On this trip, we spent time in Hollywood and at Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, and a whole week at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. We built a haunted gingerbread house at Ralph Brennan's and also went to the Halloween party. We ended the trip in Newport Beach where I had another seminar and DH and the kids did some other nearby touristy stuff.

Since my husband wrote in his travel blog about this trip, I am just going to organize the days in the next post and link to the blog rather than repost everything. It literally takes hours to load pictures to post...so I hope this works well enough. You'll barely notice. I added my own comments too and I added all the pictures. I hope you enjoy!

Arrived in LA

Day 2:
Hollywood, Disney Soda Fountain, and Frankenweenie at El Capitan Theater

Day 3:
Universal Studios Hollywood

Day 4:
Knott's Berry Farm

Day 5:
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel
And our first Disney day including Boudin Bakery and Ghiradelli's.

Day 6:
Disneyland

Day 7:
Carsland featuring The Ride that Breaks Alot!

Day 8:
From Morning Madness to a Fantasmic Night

Day 9:
Gingerbread Haunted House and more

Day 10:
World of Color and Carthay Circle

Day 11:
Mickey's Halloween Party
You've got to see these pictures!

Day 12:
Last Disney Day and onto Newport Beach

Day 13:
Pretend City and the Beach?

Day 14:
Science Center, Zoo, and Western Museum

Wow! We really packed a lot in! We had a ton of fun! I'm glad to answer any questions or help with Disney tips or traveling with kids tips too!
