Now that would definitely get my attention. Even in the slowest of seasons, I have never NOT waited forever in that line.

Perhaps the first wave of change will be some sort of 'e' nights packages for resort guests. Meaning, before EMH there were 'E' nights - only at the MK. People really liked them. Some version of FP+ with an e night bow for on site resort guests for the surplus MK fp+. May not be restricted to one night a week, maybe its just packaged up using regular hours, but extra fp+'s....
Huh, guess Pirates wont be off the grid. What about small world, have these little beauties shown up at small world? Cant stand that ride, but it would offer up a plethora of FP+'s. That attraction can swallow Brazillian tour groups whole without a hiccup. Oh, I can see us wandering around adventureland, staying ahead of the crowds, paying 400 in theme park tickets for tom sawyer island, tiki, dole whip, and a fast counter service at Peco Bills for cold burgers.....

good stuff! And yes, I am pretty sure Small World is hooked to the system too.

Can someone direct me to the original post about Fast Pass plus? I have been searching but have only found posts with people who already know the basics about it. Thank you!

I have only been following fp+ threads for a few weeks, but I thought this was the best one on the disboards
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3052479 I was sad they locked that thread - is that the thread you got the little fancy ribbon for Barry? If you look at Bcrook's signature line, he has a link to fp+ information that has been gathered over a longer period of time. Its kept up to date.

It is too bad they closed that thread. I know it was because it just became an argument between a few posters but I still felt they closed it too soon. I wish they would/could just ban people from a thread (not board) for x period of time to let them cool down. |

While that thread, and others, created a nice collection of thoughts the problem was you can only talk so much about speculation before arguments between posters break out. Did Disney make a mistake releasing the little bit of info that they did followed by nothing or would they have been better off giving out a teaser to start with and add an additional piece of info every week or two? I know that in my case and many others, it's the lack of new info that is frustrating. Here's another question about FP+ capacities. When the eventually activatesmdo you think they will keep the current 40 minutes of non fast passes at park opening or do you think they will offer FP+ appointments at the parks opening? I hope they keep it the way it is because if they do away with that window much of the advantage of EMH opening will disappear. Of course that's ignoring the newest rumors of Disney getting rid of EMH.

But would that be enough to wipe out EMH mornings? Assuming they stick around!

Don't think it would wipe out the EMH mornings, but it would definitely impact what can be accomplished. I guess that you have the same amount of people either way. Personally I wouldn't waist a FP+ selection the first hour or two anyways. If I force my self out of bed, not a morning person (+1 hour earlier time zone), I want the extra benefit of having standby only line to worry about. For regular openings I could see it going either way. But talk about messing with the plans of people who ate use to opening the parks! Would offering FP's that first hour have any impact on dispersing the crowd? Could they offer more passes to the less traveled portions and less to the ones everyone races for? Who knows, they could even offer some to people right after the park opens hoping to spread the crowds out! I know a lot of people feel that FP+ is a waste of money on Disney's part, but it offers them so many possibilities and control they don't have now! |

Don't know if either of these have been discussed yet but I just spoke to a friend who is a CM and she told me:
1. There will be FPs for QS at BOG. These deluxes will get to try this first- Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian. 2. Fast Passes will be distributed depending on resort level. Each person onsite will get a certain number with mods getting a few more than values and the deluxe resort visitors getting a few more than the mods. |

Are any of you planning to use a FP for a QS meal? I just wonder if I'd be willing to do this, when I'd imagine the system will make lines longer and obviously they're not unlimited.

I might not want to use a FP for parade viewing, but it makes me made that the primo real estate along the curb by the castle will apparently not be available any longer without one. Or at least a certain chunk of it. |
