How long is the wait for BoG lunch this week?

Hello!

We are going to WDW in less than two weeks and we really would like to try BoG for lunch. I know that there are long lines but I'm hoping they are getting shorter each week!

How long is the wait now? Anyone that is at WDW right now can share?

Thank you!

I cannot comment on current lines since I'm sitting in my living room 1000 miles away. But, I wouldn't think the lines would be getting any shorter since it's still a new experience for every guest that is arriving and beginning their vacations.

Our strategy in June is to line up around 10:20 am for an early lunch.

Enjoy! It looks delicious!

We went there in December and again last week for lunch. Both times the lines looked super long, both times it only took 20-25 minutes to get to order. We were able to find seats very easily both times (including a table for 11), and our food was brought to us in minutes.

I recommend the potato soup and steak sandwich.

We ate smack in the middle of lunch time both times, it's really not necessary to line up super early. You end up spending the same amount of time waiting (or longer lining up early).

I got to the tail of the line about 1:30 today. I was told by a CM that based on where the line was to, it would be 35 to 45 minutes to get to the front. So I went elsewhere.

It has been my experience that they overestimate the wait times. We were told "At least 45 minurptes" and were through in 25. Generally, from the end of the bridge it is about 20 minutes and from halfway between the bridge and Gaston's it is about 30 minutes.

While I don't think my observations from back in Nov would be helpful to you...I would gather the lines are LONG and the crowds are LARGE; otherwise, they wouldn't be testing Fastpass + for BOG lunch.

We ate lunch there yesterday. We got on line at 11 am. It took us half an hour to get from past the bridge to finish ordering. We sat in the main ballroom, it was awesome! Food was decent. I had the potato leek soup, which had good flavor but the texture was odd. Not as smooth as traditional potato leek soup. DH had the braised pork. It had an unexpected smoked flavor. The strawberry cupcake was sooo decadent and delicious!

They told us the same thing both times we went there and it took 20-25 minutes to get to order. We were seated with food in about 30 minutes.

Do they encourage having only one member per group wait in the line? Actively prohibit such a sysyem? Or is there no set procedure? I would think that if entire groups fill up the line, it would be pretty hard to estimate the wait. Ten groups of ten will order and pay much faster than fifty groups of two. So if there are 100 people in line, you would never know.

We were there for lunch 2 weeks ago. We lined up at about 20 minutes before opening. The biggest problem we had was the fact that once in the room where you order we got stuck behind two different tech challenged people at our assigned ordering kiosk. It took about 10 minutes. Once they got through, it all moved very fast. The food was at our table less than 2 minutes after we were. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the food. It is well worth seeing.

I don't think it matters. We were trying to have friends meet up with us because they chose not to wait in the line cause it looked long, but we ended up moving fast. We were about to go into the castle and the CM just had us wait off to the side and told us to tell him when we were ready to go.

Some friends of mine went today and got in line at about 1:45. They said it took them about 25 minutes to get to the kiosk, and when they sat down their food came almost immediately.

I would not expect wait times to let up much at all until December 2014 at least. It is new, spectacular, and very hyped.

That said, I think it's totally worth a wait of up to 30 minutes just to see it
