Yep,the early shows are 25-30 minutes,the finale is longer at 45-50 minutes and is the best show of the day since it has all the winners of the early shows.

How long does one session last? Each finale winner gets a golden ticket to the front of the line at an actual American Idol audition

Worth it? My 15 year old and I go to Hollywood Studios sometimes just to see the finale

I have been to DHS many many times and have not seen the American Idol show yet. BUT this trip I am going!!!! My husband has always discouraged it, but not this year....American Idol here I come!

One of the biggest waste of prime real estate in all of DHS.

We went once - enjoyed it a lot. Our kids were at the right age to enjoy the experience and love watching kid star search shows on TV (not American Idol though - they haven't really discovered it yet as they don't watch ABC much).

It was lots of fun - especially since we had the time. On our last trip, we skipped it because it didn't fit in our schedule and we wanted more rides that day. I would do it again, wouldn't choose it over rides and such though.

I am looking forward to watching this when we go. My son is a huge american idol fan and so I am sure he will love watching this.

We did it for the first time on our last trip in Nov 2011. It was fun! This upcoming trip my dd14 is going to audition for it. You have to be at least 14 years old to audition, so she's finally old enough.

When we went there were hardly any people in the audience. It probably took almost an hour out of our time. If you go during a crowded time, you may have to get in line sooner. Not sure though, the theater is rather big.

We think it's fun, but our kids are older. With little kids you may want to skip it.

DS 26, his GF and I went to a show during the day last month, just for fun while the others in our group did Tot and RnRC. We enjoyed it and ended up going back (DH came with us) for the finale to see who would win. I am not a thrill-ride person, so this is something I can do. The people are actually pretty talented, at least the ones we saw were. (I also went another time with DH on a past trip, soon after it opened).

Just to let you know, it is FREEZING in there, so bring a sweater/sweatshirt!
