How long does it take to receive your contract?
I accepted the counter-offer on Monday and sent my information via email yesterday. She wrote in the email that once the points summary from Disney was received, she would send the contract. So I was just wondering how long this process takes? TIA

Good for you! From my experience from the time you agree with the seller and the time you get your points is about 8 weeks. Here is some pixie dust for you....

Seller and I agreed to a price on a Monday, agent verified points with Disney and the contracts came on a Wednesday, Seller and I both signed and returned by Thursday morning. It was sent to Disney on a Thursday afternoon. This was one week ago. Now I'm waiting out the ROFR process. Good luck with your contract!

We just passed ROFR yesterday. We made 1st offer on 1/18 and went back and forth and offer was accepted on 1/20. We got contracts in e-mail on 1/21 and signed and e-mailed back that same day. It was sent to Disney for ROFR on 1/22. A lot was done over a weekend too (some brokers don't work on weekends
). You should get contract soon. Good luck on ROFR!

Total time is around 70 to 75 days, start to finish. Your broker will have the best info on Disney's current time line.

![]() I know the process is going to take a month longer than normal resales since it is a bankruptcy. But I just thought that I would have received the contract today. Oh well. Hopefully the realtor will email it to me tomorrow as it would be the longest weekend ever if I have to wait until Monday. I just want to sign it, send it back and not think about it for 2-3 months lol. |

Edit to add: I just looked over the ROFR thread and it seems Dec and June are the unlucky months that the mouse likes to buy back (and a lot of OKW with various UY). Last edited by lovin'fl; 02-21-2013 at 10:06 PM. |
