Two Days at Castaway Cay!

I'm so excited...we just booked a cruise on the Dream for November 2014! It is a special itinerary and it stops at Castaway Cay two days in a row. This will be our first time on the Dream and on the East Coast, so we are excited to be able to explore the island for two days.

What are your must do's on Castaway Cay? It is just my Husband and I. We will be leaving the kids at home with Grandma...

DH and I did a "no kids cruise" in November 2012 - I highly recommend eating at the little place by the Serenity Bay adults beach. I didn't see it on the map anywhere, but remembered it from my first cruise several years ago - sure enough, asked a cast member and it's there! Right at the bus stop. When we were there we practically had the place to ourselves. The grilled-to-order steaks were sooo good - I had two! (They are super thin, but were cooked and seasoned just perfectly.)

Enjoy!

We did two stops at CC last June and we loved it!! My DH and I are taking a trip without the kids this May and when we get to CC we intend to just relax and play on Serenity Bay.

DH and I don't have any kids! LOL...

We head right to Serenity Bay, pull up a couple of chairs under an umbrella or a hammock, order some drinks and relax. The first time we cruised, we parasailed and did the Stingray thing.
If you havent parasailed before, give it a go! It's so much fun!

back in 2008 we were on the first Disney Cruise to stop at CC twice in one cruise (still have the special pins they made for it)....we (me/wife/DD who turned 10YO today) have always said we'd be quite happy if the boat sailed in circles and returned to CC every day!!!

My husband and I employed CC the last time we were there while the kids were off doing the kid thing. We rented bikes and explored the island then relaxed at serenity bay. Beautiful!

we are hoping that cruise doesn't get too sold out before this Oct when we are on the Dream. We want to see if we can manage that cruise and book while on board. I have a feeling though, that with the popularity of double dips the price will go up up up between now and then.

Ash - I think the cruise is selling quickly. I booked on inside stateroom yesterday and when I went to change this morning to an oceanview I got the last cabin in category 9B.

So jealous. I looked at these, but they are all during the school year. Can't wait to do a double dip one day though.

I hear you. My wife and I have taken this week off for the last twenty years. 2014 will be the last one though as my daughter will be in middle school in 2015.
