Wine tasting onboard during Med cruise?

I have started thinking about excursions for our Med cruise this summer, and I am wondering whether there will be a wine tasting onboard that we can participate in, or whether we might want to book a wine-tasting excursion.

If there will be one on board, I probably will choose something else for an excursion.

Typically there are different beverage tastings on sea days. Champagne, tequila, wine, and mixology come to mind. No guarantee that they will have"local" wines or beverages. I'll look at my 2010 navigators and post back if I can find any details. I don't think I had time on that cruise to do any .

We did the wine tasting on board in the Med. and it was not worth it. We did not have many "local" wines like Spain or Italy but rather what was being served on the ship. It was more of a wine education and food pairings type seminar than a wine tasting IMO. We did our own wine tastings off the ship and was sure to bring back local varieties from each port. That is one thing great about DCL is that they allow you to return to ship with booze and local foods. Don't forget to pick up some Lemoncello in Naples and really chill it to enjoy after dinner. I would concentrate on sightseeing tours that include lunch for all the tours we were on included wine(s) with luinch. On Corsica we enjoyed their wine the most.
