Paradise Pier to Convention Center
Hello experts! I am coming to Anaheim in early April for a convention held at the Anaheim Convention Center. We are able to get a great rate at Paradise Pier, but our registration website notes that you cannot walk from the hotel to the Convention Center. I've looked at multiple maps and, while it is not right next door, it appears that you could walk to the Convention Center from the hotel. Perhaps less than a mile? Does anyone have experience with this? Our other hotel option is the Anabella Hotel which is clearly closer to the Convention Center but as this is my first trip to Disneyland I'd like to stay on property if it is walkable! Thanks for your recommendations!! MelK |

I'm thinking that you can. Coming out of Paradise pier, walk down Disney way and turn right on Katella. Maybe a 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile - just guessing.
If no one else updates, I would just call the hotel and ask.

Wouldn't you turn left on Katella from Disney Way?

Yes it is a fairly easy walk. We did it a couple years ago for a cheer competition. And you turn left on Katella.

Unless there's some new construction in place, the information you have is incorrect. Last year we went to WonderCon in mid-March and stayed at the Paradise Pier. We were easily able to walk back and forth between the hotel and convention center. We are doing it again this year (Easter weekend).

We walked to and from the Convention Center for D23 in 2011. And that was from the DL Hotel, which was a little further away than PP.
This year, for D23 we will be at PP, and we will be walking for sure! |

You can absolutely walk it. I've done it dozens of times. How bizarre.

Thank you all for the information!
I'm really excited to finally get to Disneyland and being able to stay on property would just make it a little more special. MelK |
