DLH rating if at WDW
As a previous poster asked how the PPH would be rated if at WDW how would DLR vets compare it?

I would rate it at the same level as a deluxe most definitely, especially after the renovation. I actually think it's nicer than a lot of the Deluxes at WDW. The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds, eating options, everything are super nice and very well themed. It's my all-time favourite Disney resort that I've ever stayed at.

Thanks Niebz
Thank you for your input. I was hoping that would be the response I would get considering how much we are paying to experience the magic of staying on property. Splitting our stay between PPH and DLH. Glad we made the decision to do 1st night at PPH and the finish with last 2 nights at DLH. Again thanks for the input.

I say deluxe as well. Esp with the new remodel, I think it is better than WDW deluxes. I love the DLH!

Another vote for DLH definitely falling into the deluxe category. Love the rooms, restaurants, and pool area.

I'd rank it like the Yacht and Beach Clubs. Same proximity to the parks. Same pool experience, same room quality.

Gosh, why do I always seem like the downer here? I don't even think the remodeled DLH can compete with the deluxes at WDW. Wilderness Lodge? You're actually in the wilderness! It's lobby, like AKL, is also quite grand. There is just no way I could justify that as comparable. And The Grand Floridian? It really transports you to the Victorian era. It is beautiful and inspiring in a way DLH could never be.
On my own recognizances, I would never speak ill of DLH or GCH. DLR is home to me and I love it all! But, there is just no way I could put DLH with the WDW Deluxe experiences. ADDED: If I had to compare it with a deluxe, I think the best one would be The Contemporary, even though the building design is very different. Last edited by Hoku; 02-14-2013 at 07:58 PM. |

Having stayed at DLH a number of times, would definitely rank it in the top tier of WDW's deluxe resorts. Very much on par with BC/YC/BW/CT. Rooms, amenities, grounds, location, dining.

Deluxe from me also. I love the DLH..will always prefer the Grand, but DLH is close second.
