It was very interesting to hear all the passenger's different experiences and thoughts. There were so many different perspectives.

A lot of the passengers seem very upbeat. They are saying the crew did a great job. So glad these folks are alright and found a way to stay positive through it all.

I hope it's really the tendering problem, because it would have been far better, from a PR perspective, to have canceled everyone off another ship (with refunds) and offloaded Triumph. I've seen nothing but this story for days, it would just be better for business to have canceled another ship's cruise. I think they could have defused some of this if there were a clearer explanation of why people remained on the ship.

Just was on twitter. There are tons of pictures from passengers coming out. "Tent city", beds all over the place. The buckets and bags used for toilets. Crazy! So sorry, I can't post links from my cheap computer...hopefully, somone can.

The 3 ladies on GMA said the worst thing was when they opened the bar up for people to drink, that some people got rowdy.

The new gravity rule applies more for oil rigs. There's been some confusion recently on lifeboat requirements in general. Part of it stems from the oil rig/platforms that are changing. I havent seen much change in cruise ship lifeboat requirements in the recent past. On the DCL classics the should be a no power option on the lifeboats lowering system. Same with the Dream class and just about any other lines class.

We are such germaphobes that I can't imagine walking around in the sludge.

The reports of parents having to cut sheets for diapers sounds like a nightmare.

I hope this doesn't happen to any other cruise passengers on any other ship.

We have seen a few interviews with very angry passengers, but I'm most amazed by the interviews with the positive people. What upbeat attitudes! They were so happy just to be home and with their families. That's the attitude I'd hope I would have.

One of our local families on board said the toilets didn't start running over until the ship started leaning. I'm sure the news will have an in depth interview later this evening.

Unfortunately, with the media being what it is these days, I'm sure they will put whatever spin on it they choose. If a news outlet wants to spin this in a positive light, they will and vice versa. I RARELY watch TV news because I think they are amazingly unprofessional. I'm disgusted with the two on CNN right now. Journalists are supposed to be unbiased reporters of the news, not TV 'stars'.

Thankfully, across the board, everyone is giving high fives to the crew for doing an amazing job!

I don't know if this has been posted before but the ship should have a slew of restrooms that can use gravity to get the waste out of the ship in these situations. Not ALL of the restrooms should be this way but if the ship had say 10 restrooms on board that would work when in these situations then everyone could be informed to use those restrooms when the ship is in emergency situations.

Having worked several jobs that require moving large amounts of people and equipment to different points on a regular basis, I'm not surprised at the numbers of in happy/angry guests. There's some that will take it on stride and others that no matter what you do there not going to be happy.

From everything I've seen and heard I have to give Carnival credit as it looks like they are doing everything they can to alleviate the situation. But there's only so much they can do. Alot is out of their control.

The sewage in the passageways makes sense now. I was just rewatching the building of the Freedom of the Seas the other day and they had a similar issue during building trials. They were doing fire door tests and the ship had an artificial list put on her for several hours and too many people took showers and used the restrooms in the same time frame and flooded several lower crew deck rooms.

Gravity might work to dump it but there are pumps to push the water up to the toilets and electric to actually open the valves to dump the system(no pun intended).

I'm really curious to find out what burned to take out at least 4 engines and there associated power distribution systems.

Me, too. It sounds like it could have been much, much worse if the automated fire system would have failed.

Hopefully, they'll be able to fully repair everything, give the ship a deep cleaning, replace the furnishing and carpets and get the ship sailing again. That massive of a project is going to take some time.
