Oh,,, he's making me go "gack" again.

I also have hmph, mpff and meh

Inever understood how Meh got so popular.

Maybe I wasn't referring to an animal derived product but to a chemically manufactured... oh, nevermind... I just looked that up. I had no idea. There goes my recently earned MR. AWESOME moniker.

that's something you have to read,, to hear it in person you are going to hear "antivenom" in your ears, but it also applies to toxic spider bites,,, lizards like the beaded lizard and gila monster,, jellyfish,,,, not just snakes.

The song is the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'"

Oh, of course it is,, how could I have been such a fool?
that was a "rhetorical" question,,, not really requiring an actual response.

(disclaimer isn't going to work, is it?)

Nope. Not in this neck of the woods. The closest we have in this province is the Western Hognose, which isn't venomous (although it is slightly toxic to small critters), and isn't a rattler.

I love the hognose,,, never had one but so cute the way they roll over and play dead when threatened.

There are rattlers in other (typically warmer) provinces.

cool. Does that make it +1 or -1 for Disney?

hmm ,,, not sure,,,,

I do know that song.

Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods.

Oh, that's right and the killer's pic is over on the Bunnies thread.

I know,,, they like asassins over there.

I never thought I'd see that movie... and now I'm sure of it.
very strange movie,,,, very strange.

We never did make it to the pool when we stayed at RPR. The pix look great. Might have to spend more time there during our next trip to the dark side.
Oh,, by all means,,, and then go over to Portofino's pools,,, and then Hard Rock's,,,,heck with the parks!

You said you changed and then next thing you were by the pool. I didn't know you turned into Smidgy though.

So that job I was sad about, yea, when I got off the plane I had a voicemail from them asking me to call them asap!

I did and he offered me the job over the phone.

I requested an interview, cause I had questions and I am now a long term sub for a resource room in my own kids school district.

Wow, crazy turn of events. I start Wednesday cause we are on a mid winter break.

Great, now I have that cheesy song stuck in my head. Thanks a lot. The '70s has a lot to answer for.

Regarding venom/ venin, I actually did know that from watching that reality TV show that followed an ER doctor who specialized in treating snake bites. Not only did I find the show fascinating, it was a great one to turn to when my DH was getting on my last nerve, since he hates snakes. (I used the baby-being-born shows on Discovery to get rid of my DD - same concept. (see what I did there?) Although I have probably scarred her for life, unlike my DH, who came to me pre-scarred.)

We are supposed to head back to WDW in May, after a 3 day Disney cruise.

Unfortunately we missed the Grinchmas stuff. We just couldn't get the timing down.

Here you go Smidgy. Ask and you shall receive. These are some of the pics of the Universal's Macy's Holiday Parade that Lady H and I took. Sorry it took me a while to post them. I had to edit some of them and then get them uploaded.

Beginning of the parade.

Oh look. They made a Nebo balloon head.

Homer Simpson

Maggie & Marge. Sorry. We couldn't get Lisa or Bart, they were on the other side of the rv.

Marilyn Monroe

If you ever get a chance to see this parade, I would recommend getting a spot close to the Christmas tree.

And of course, what holiday parade wouldn't be complete without Santa Claus.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is the Macy's Holiday Parade over at Universal Studios.

Congrats Monica!! That is fantastic!!! I got a job as well but can't start until April 1 as the practice I will be working for has to get me privileges at the hospital we admit our patients to and I can't start until I have privileges. In the interim I am volunteering at a local free clinic, good experience for me and I was sick of sitting at home!

that's great, but I think the correct lyrics are "a three HOUR tour".

What? From the size of the floats/baloons/icons/characters you just posted,, I would think Atlanta would be close enough,,, I never realized that this was that big a deal there.

Ho Ho Ho,,,, but really, thanks Mike, well done

HUH? You don't start until April,,, have some time now,, and you are not at Disney, helping our Marita's 401 K?
And not to sound foolish, [B, but are you sure April 1st is the best day to start a new job?

That's a long time to push some papers around, but congrats! I did a lot of free volunteering. I wish this job paid more, but its a foot in the right door.

April 1 is a great day! It's Mr. Mony's birthday!

Yay for Mony and Mom&RN for getting jobs.

For me, the agenda tomorrow is: Grand puppy shopping!

The good news is it wont live here to pee on my carpet. The bad news is it won't live here. Kind of the way grand kids are. It may just pee on my carpet on visits.
