Out and About?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the "Out and About" programming is all about? What ages is it appropriate for, do parents attend etc... I see from Navigators that there aren't a lot of out and about activities, but I'm looking for other fun things for my ds who will be 2 wks shy of turning 11. I'm worried he won't enjoy the lab, and thought this might be a good option.

Thanks.

Hello fellow cruiser! From what I recall, out and about was for kids ages 8-14 who had sign out privileges. These activities are held outside of the secure programming areas (i.e. the sports deck) so you have to be ok with your child going to these locations (of course you can drop them there but there is no sign in or out it is come and go as you please).

You can also ask when you board about bumping your child up -- it could be harder because our cruise is so full but it never hurts to ask.

When DD was 10 and had sign-out privs, she was not allowed to attend the out and about activity in the Edge because she did not have a parent with her, even though she was with DS, who was 12 at the time. He went into the Edge and she went back to the room and got in touch with us.

Thank you. This sounds like the right kind of fun my ds would enjoy.
