Port or starboard for Alaska?

Is one side of the ship better than the other when cruising to Alaska?

It could end up curdled

They're both gorgeous. The ship basically makes a round trip (yes, that's an oversimplification), so what's on the starboard side going up is on the port side on the way back. Tho the time of day will be different.

As the DCL Alaska cruises are round-trip, not really. What one side see on the way out, the other sees on the way back. The difference being the time of day.

When cruising Tracy Arm, the captain will turn the ship several times so that all sides get a view.

I don't know if you're traveling with kids, but I HAD to have the side of the ship where we were docked right next to the train in Skagway. Our 5-year old son got to watch the train pull right up under our verandah. He LOVED it. We were in room 7618 - I can't remember if that is port or starboard (I know - I'm so ashamed!) Either way - you're in for an awesome cruise!

I preferred the starboard side although both sides are equally beautiful.
